Chapter 8

We don't really know how long we've been trapped there, but according to its time we've been there for more than 2 days, even though we just got there and it has seemed like only a couple of hours for us, so yes, we have been doing nothing for apparently 2 days.

What if the time warp is still in the cave? I thought to myself. I repeated that question over and over again in my head until I blurted it out randomly. "What if the time warp is still in the cave? Maybe we could still get out of here if we hurry?"

"I'm not going back in there!" Exclaimed Asfary, shaking her head. "Me nether," said Matthew, still shoving popcorn in his mouth. That kid could eat and he wasn't even fat at all.

I sighed and then asked, "so, what do you suggest, we just sit around and let time slip by?"

"No, that's not what we're suggesting, Simon."

"Then what is your plan, Asfary? Because it sure as hell doesn't seem like you have one."

"That's not fair," she said with tears rolling down her face. "Yeah well, the time we have isn't fair either, nothing is fair."

"Stop acting like an asshole!" Yelled Asfary, pounding her fist on the coffee table in front of her. "I'll stop acting like an asshole, when you stop..." Just then there was a loud crash outside and it was offly close too because it shook the whole house. "What the hell was that?" Asked Matthew, picking up the popcorn he dropped due the unexpected experience we just had.

I shook my head and replied, "I have no idea."

"Can we go check it out?" Asked Asfary, looking at me with pleading eyes. I smiled at her and nodded. "Yes!" She sprung from the couch and ran outside. I was so confused as I stepped outside. I wasn't expecting it to be so close to our house, about 2 miles away.

It was glowing red and smoke was rising from it. "What could it be?" Asked Matthew, looking at me then to Asfary. "Only one way to find out," I said, taking Asfary's hand and we walked towards the object, and as we got there we saw a small meteor about 6 or 7 feet underground.

I looked back at Alexis and she had a worried look on her face, but didn't say anything to warn us if it was anything to keep away from, so I jumped in the hole and to get a closer look at the meteor, but soon realized that that was a mistake. The heat it gave off was like standing in a fire. I could feel my skin melting away, but progressed closer to it. It wasn't a big meteor whatsoever, it was about the size of a basketball, but it made a pretty big crater and like I said it gave off heat that it felt like you were standing in a fire.

After a while it wasn't as hot anymore and it was cool enough to touch and when I did it broke apart, almost like it was about to break apart before entering the atmosphere and what was inside inside was incredible, it was a crystal. I don't know any words to describe it but beautiful, that's the only word to describe it. It was bright green and glowing almost like it was radioactive. "Does anyone have a glove!?" I called out. "Yeah, I do!" Matthew called back. "Why do you have a glove in your pocket?" Asked Asfary in a confused and disgusted tone. "Never question that," said Matthew, pointing at Asfary and raising his eyebrows. "Oh, God no, seriously?" she said, looking at him and laughing.

"Matthew, get down here and give me the damn glove!" I yelled. "Fine, I'm coming!" He jumped down and ran to hand me the glove. "About time," I said, grabbing the glove from his hands. "Why did you even need–wow! What the hell is that?!" I shook my head and said in a playful tone, "well, what does it look like to you?" He looked up at me with an irritated look on his face and said, "shut the hell up, I know what it is, it's a crystal."

"Yes, but do you know what kind of crystal?"

"Yes, I do, it's a Green Apatite." I shook my head again and said, "nope, it's a Pallasites."

"Like I give a damn," he said, walking away.

I put the glove on and picked up the Pallasites, and when I did my whole body went into shock, my blood ran cold I fell to the ground and a woman with black hair, brown eyes and darkish skin flashed in my mind. She was running from someone or something. She was frightened, and before I came back to reality she whispered, "save me." It was almost like she looked directly at me while saying it.
