The Time Warp

Chapter 15

How the hell am I still alive? I thought to myself. My mind spun as I looked back at Audrey, her body still melting away like ice cream on a warm summer day. A blue beam of light shot up in the sky as the ground shook. The beam of light came from the machine Baladan was managing. After some time the beam of light became a time warp. "It worked!" He yelled and laughed his devilish laugh. "It finally worked!"

The fuck does he mean by "finally?"  I think to myself once again. The time warp begins to grow bigger each second which is a minute in that place. Baladen glances over to where I stand as Afary, Matthew and Alexis appear at the foot of the door which was behind me. I turned around and hugged Asfary. I whispered in her ear, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean what I said, I was just not in my right mind, that's all." Asfary smiled, showing her crystal teeth and said, "I forgive you, it's all in the past. No need to bring up bad times." I chuckled and said, "God, I've missed you." She kissed me and I've never felt so alive.  "Alexis?" Questioned Baladan, looking at her blankly. We all looked at Alexis and she looked down at the ground, avoiding eye contact with Baladan and everyone else. "Come, my child. How long Has't been since I've seen you?"  Alexis takes a step forward, but I place my hand in front of her, "stop, don't go any further." I ordered. "Please. You're going to die." She gave me a look that seemed to have read, How the hell are you not dead then?

"Don't give me that look." 

She glanced at Baladen then back at me, and spoke for what seemed like years, but it was actually yesterday, the day we found the time warp.  "For whom you hate, for whom you call 'The Son of Death,' for whom you seek to kill, is whom I call Father."

"What the fuck?!" I yell. "This piece of shit is your Father? But you're so sweet and kind and he's...the exact opposite."

"He's the reason why I've been mute for all this time. I yelled at him saying that I hated him with a fucking passion and that I hated it here and I'd rather die than spend another Mila second with him, so I left."

"And how, may I ask did you leave? I thought that no one escapes here unless they travel through another time warp, and hope for the best." I said, not taking my eyes off of Alexis for a second. "Somehow I created my own. Baladan needs a machine to create a time warp but I don't. I can't control it though, this whole time I was trying to get us out of here before you got the visions to kill my Father. This isn't the first time people came here and tried to kill him. None of them survived."

"Wait, so this is all an act. That medior was set on a timer to crash at that exact moment in time. The visions are all fake, none of this is fucking real?" 

"The time warps are very much real, Simon, but this place isn't what you think it is."

"Then tell me all knowing, what the fuck is this place?"

"Well, as you obviously might have realized, it's an alternate universe, a world just like ours but... different."

"Get to the damn point already!" I yelled, losing all patients. "Alright! God! Anyway as I was saying, this place isn't what it seems."

"Nah, really?!" I yelled sarcastically. "As if we didn't know that already, get to the point, Alexis."

"You're lucky I couldn't talk all that time because I would have been telling you to shut the fuck up every single day. And now that I can finally talk, shut the fuck up! Man that felt good!" I rolled my eyes and said, "I'm actually glad that you were mute 'cause you never get to the point."

"Getting to the point takes time!"

"Yeah, time that we didn't fucking have! Lost time is never found again."

"This place is Hell."

"No shit, we already knew that as well tell us something that we don't know about this place, that's why I asked in the first place. So you can tell us things that we don't already know about this place."

"I mean this is literally Hell. I brought you guys here for a reason."

"What the fuck do you mean? I've always hated you Alexis you were the odd one out of everyone. Even when you were mute you made no sense at all, and now out of nowhere you tell us that you brought us to Hell? I've always known something was off about you but i kept quiet."

The ground began to shake furiously as it eventually cracked and split in two. Everyone's faces turned to shock an Horror. Debris fell all around us, we quickly rushed outside as the building collapsed. "What the hell was that?" Asked Asfary with a shaky voice. "That would be the Father of Death, Azreal. And He has come to kill us all." The ground breaks from beneath us and we fall into eternal darkness only to be jolted awake in a hospital bed not knowing what the hell was going on.

A/N

It was all fake the cave had toxens in it making them hallucinate and sending them into a coma for years but it only felt like a couple of days. This wasn't in the description because that would be a massive spoiler obviously.
