Ace of Spades (OC)

- Currently, she's 30 years old.

- Ace has pale skin, long black hair, and cadet gray eyes. She also has a muscled figure.

- Her signature outfit is a white tank top, a denim vest, black pants, combat boots, and black fingerless gloves. She also wears a blue-gray beanie and punk accessories. She loves DIY'ing her clothes by adding studs and patches to them.

- Ace has a sly personality and is a fantastic manipulator. She's also an expert at reading people's facial expressions and body language. Adding to that, she's quite patient and rarely ever acts energetic. She's the kind of friend who hangs out in the back, observing everything. When she was a teenager, she had anger problems, but she's trained herself to rarely lose her temper and always keep her cool.

- Her favorite band is Bring Me the Horizon. She also loves Ghost.

- To make a living, she has an illegal job as a gambler for The Wilted Roses, the same gang Kate works for. She tricks people into giving her money by challenging them to poker or card games, which she never loses (she's also not above cheating when outmatched, and she's never discovered). When not at home in her Denver, Colorado flat with her family, she can be found at bars and casinos. She's also a great pickpocket.

- The reason she goes by Ace of Spades is because she can use that to cover herself up from the police.

- She was raised in a family of extremely traditional Mormons and was quite sheltered. As a woman, her opinions were never valued and she was severely mistreated, but she didn't realize that this wasn't normal until she met her best friend Troy, and his friends Randy, Keith, and Sully, at age 10. At home, she was mostly abused emotionally and verbally, but her parents wouldn't have second thoughts about getting physical.

- When Ace found out she was lesbian, she had a lot of internalized homophobia and felt terrible. Her family found out soon enough, and the oppression she experienced from her parents became even worse. She eventually came to accept herself for liking girls with help from her friends, but of course, her family's words still hurt.

- Ace went to a private Christian school, so she couldn't hang out with her friends during the school hours. She was forbidden by her family to hang out with boys without their permission and supervision, so she became accustomed to sneaking out.

- She had three siblings, an older brother named Walter and two younger siblings named Abraham and Ruth. Ace was very close with Abraham, who was the only family member she had who actually listened to her and didn't believe she was going to hell. She often took Abraham with her when she went to hang out with her friends.

- She was always a tomboy and much preferred wearing pants and shorts, which her parents never allowed for her due to her gender. Luckily, Troy and the others always came in clutch.

- When Ace was 16, Abraham, who had asthma (she was the only person in the family who didn't tell him to pray it away) had a nasty attack. He ended up dying in her arms. Ace still blames herself for his death, wishing she could've saved him, but she also knows her parents are responsible for never getting Abraham the help he needed.

- At age 17, Ace's parents announced that they had talked with Odessa and arranged that she and Keith were to be married as soon as they were both 18. She and Keith were devastated at this news, but this made their friendship stronger in a way.

- Of course, Ace was heartbroken when Randy, Keith, and Troy were arrested and Sully and Malthus were murdered. With all her friends gone and her brother dead, she had no one, and the next few years for hell for her. When Troy was murdered almost immediately after being released and Ace wasn't allowed to go to his funeral, she was furious at her parents.

- One day when Ace was 22, only a month after Troy had been murdered, she was called downstairs by her parents. They began to lecture her about her upcoming marriage with Keith, who would be out of prison in the next year. In that moment, Ace snapped, having had enough of her parents trying to control her. She grabbed the shotgun that hung over the fireplace and shot both her parents dead before packing a bag and fleeing the house. Her sister Ruth was at school, and she came home to find the police already there.

- Ace adapted to the streets quickly. She got the nickname Ace of Spades from the fact that she never missed in card games, and she got money from pickpocketing and gambling, eventually being recruited by The Wilted Roses. After a few months, she ran into Troy in spirit form, and she was overjoyed to see her best friend again.

- She has a big black labrador named Lucifer, whom she won as a puppy from a gambling match when her opponent had no more money, only a small dog. He's always by her side wherever she goes.

- Growing up, tattoos were forbidden in Ace's house, so she took the liberty to get as many as she could once she escaped. For example, she has a pair of facial tattoos that look like black upside-down triangles under her eyes. She also has a whole sleeve of tattoos on her left arm and a few on her legs; she even has one on her neck. Adding to all this, she knows how to give others tattoos and was the one to give Randy his tattoos and Kate all of hers. The Wilted Roses even forged her a fake liscence so she can charge people for tattoos from her.

- Ace is a Satanist, and the beliefs of the religion have really helped with her confidence. She hates Mormonism as a whole and preaches against it to spread awareness for how she was treated in her childhood. She often wears cross jewelry just to mock Christianity.

- She was only 17 when she became an aunt, when her brother Walter and his wife Elizabeth had their first child. She was shocked when, several years later, she found that child - who had run away from home - outside the door of her flat. She took in the kid, who now went by Finch, and she has a very close bond with them.

- She usually takes her coffee black, but also likes a bit of milk in it.

- When Ace was growing up, the youth pastor at her church was a child predator. Ace herself was never assaulted, but two other girls in her friend group were, as well as her sister Ruth (she and Abraham were the only ones who believed her). When she started working for The Wilted Roses, she paid one of the other gang members to hunt the pastor down and kill him.

- Like her other friends, she hates both Jeff's and Liu's guts, but she also pities them.

- She's very devoted to her friends and loved ones.

- Her ears are all done up, and she also has a septum piercing.

- Ace was an accidental accomplice to Randy, Keith, and Troy when they set Jeff on fire, as Ace was the one to supply Randy with chemicals neither of them knew were flammable. Ace was taken in for questioning, but due to her skills at lying and manipulation, she was let go.

- She tries not to think about it, but she still worries that she'll go to hell when she dies.

- When Ace was in her teen years, she came to found out that her brother was gay, but was repressing his feelings to an unhealthy amount. She tried to help him, but he married a woman anyway.

- Ace is a horrible cook. She mostly leaves Kate and Troy in charge of the food.

- One of the reasons she and Keith are so close is because they've bonded over the fact that they both have survivor's guilt for the deaths of their respective siblings.

- She loves everything having to do with pirates, sirens, sailors, and the like. Apart from punk and metal music, she loves sea shanties.

- She often wears black lipstick and thick black eyeliner.

- Ace both drinks and smokes.
