Chapter 2 - Rachel's past

When Bruce, and Rachel returned, the team as worried. Bruce explained to them what had happened. "What was her past like," Tony asked, Bruce replied, "she doesn't like...." "Dad," Rachel interrupts, "it's fine. In the past, my parents weren't willing to take good care of me, and they weren't willing to give me up. Then one day the government came and forced them to give me to the orphanage. They did but my dad threatened to find me, and when he did, he'll do to me what happened in the past." Rachel paused, sighing she continued, "that's why I went stiff, I thought it was him." Steve gave Tony the look, Rachel noticed, "what," she asked. Wanda spoke, "a guy came asking about you, we thought it was your biological father and sensed something was wrong. So we told him you weren't here." Rachel looked at Bruce who warned, "Rachel it will happen if your rude a third time." Rachel knew what he meant, but was scared of the fact her biological father was in the compound. "Daddy," she whispered, "he was here," Bruce looked at her. "Rachel you're okay," but Rachel had run from the room. Bruce worriedly looked at Nat, "JARVIS where's Rachel." "In her room sir," Bruce went upstairs, and went to Rachel's room. She was crying under her covers, Bruce pulled back the covers, "sweetie your okay. No one will let anything happen," Rachel flung herself on Bruce, through tears said, "daddy he was here." "I know honey, I know, you're safe we won't let anything happen." Rachel calmed down, and Bruce talked her into returning downstairs. She followed him downstairs, and the team asked if she was alright. Bruce answered all the questions, "she's fine, she just got scared." Steve said, "Rachel we now know who he is, and what he wants. There is no way we'll let anything happen." Rachel went over to Nat, "thanks guys," Bruce noticed she was shaking a little. "Rachel your shaking," "I'm cold," was the reply. Nat put a blanket over her, and she stopped shaking. Then suddenly, "No, no don't touch me," Nat held her tight, "Rachel your safe he's gone, he's not here." "He was here Nat," Rachel said in a snarky way. Bruce heard, "Rachel upstairs to your room now." Rachel went upstairs to her room knowing what was going to happen. Bruce came upstairs," why were you snarky towards Nat," "because I'm scared," Bruce sighed. "I'm sorry that's not an excuse," he bent her over, and spanked her hard. Rachel cried, but Bruce spanked her again, downstairs the others heard Rachel crying. Nat told them what was happening, upstairs, Rachel had completed her punishment, and now Bruce was hugging her. "I'm sorry daddy," she said, downstairs she told Nat, "I'm sorry for being snarky to you." Nat forgave her, and they moved on. Later that evening, Rachel refused to eat her dinner. Bruce sternly said, "Rachel you need to eat, I want you to eat 5 bites of everything on your plate." "How can I eat when I'm not hungry?" Bruce looked at Rachel, he had never seen her like this. Nat knew what was happening, "Bruce I don't think she trusts them." Bruce then realized what was going on, "Rachel you can trust them, their my friends, and if you let them yours too." Rachel got up, "I'll be upstairs," she went upstairs, and went to her room. Later when Bruce came up with Rachel's medicine, she was drawing at her desk. Rachel took her medication, and then got ready for bed.
