ONE WITH THE CLOUDS

"It is with great sadness that we announce the death of the son of our deceased president Hiruzen Sarutobi, Asuma Sarutobi, who was found dead this morning, witnesses say they had heard gunshots fired around 5:59-", the sound of the tv turning off was heard.

Glass shattered

A woman holding her stomach sat down in her tub as she cried. "Asuma...". She allowed the water to run through her hair, her eyes held a blood red colour and her hair a silky jet black shade her pink tinted cheeks were stained with her own tears. She stopped the water and got out the bath, she got dressed and decided it would be best to go elsewhere especially since the news of her beloved was still fresh in her mind.

"I know the man who killed my teacher, and I'll make him pay one way...or another" a boy said coldly as he flickered the lighter on repeat. "Shikamaru it's time to get to school... I know you're still mourning but it's best to clear your head boy", shikamaru's father, shikaku stated sympathetically. Shikamaru walked past his father putting his hood up over his head and stuck his hands in his pocket.

This is a drag, why the fuck do I have to switch schools just cause of what happened at mine..I swear I will paint his grave with his blood he thought as he put a cigarette in his mouth. "I thought I told you to quit smoking", a woman's voice said. "kurenai what are you doing here... sorry bout the news by the way..", shikamaru said sinking his head to the ground. "I should.. probably get going", he said walking towards his car leaving kurenai speechless on the next step. She met up with shikamaru's parents, as they prepared tea and exchanged opinion shikamaru wanted to avoid this.. he thought talking about his feelings was a drag and didn't want to have to dwell on the feeling his chest held. His eyes held a cold dead stare as he started the ignition.

Shikamaru kept driving till he arrived. "Greatt final exams are literally around the corner why the hell am I here... this is such a fucking drag", Shikamaru hissed as he dropped his cigarette and stepped on it.

"Yo, shikamaru long time no see" a voice said, I know that voice, shikamaru thought. "Naruto, didn't know you went to konoha academy", "I could say the same but glad to see you again dude..so what brings you here" Naruto said as he gave Shikamaru a hug. "glad to see you too...alot of bullshit but I'll be fine" Shikamaru said yawning as he scratched the back of his head. " If you got a minute I'd like to have a word with you bout something" shikamaru said this time focusing his vision on Naruto. Naruto understood that and became serious as well nodding once in approval.

"So what's up" Naruto asked leaning against the fence at the very back of the school. " Asuma you heard didn't you?", Shikamaru said. "No what happened" , Naruto asked concerned. "he was shot he died this morning.. that's what I'm here about you remember that brawl your godfather got into with one of his students?", Shikamaru stated. "sorry bout your loss but yeah I remember his name was yahiko or some shit like that", Naruto replied. "man goes by Pain now apparently he's head of the organization your dad tried destroying before the well..you know", Shikamaru said trying not to touch sensitive topics. "yeah but how do you know", Naruto asked. "Asuma..", shikamaru began. "He said he dug up some files in the president's old office..he found some Akatsuki group that was involved in gang violence and petty crimes, not what you'd expect from a top Organization but right now it's under the radar most of the big time Yakuza groups are under their control meaning..."meaning they're not just some petty threat", Naruto added. Shikamaru nodded, "they're basically so high up the police can't touch them that's when Asuma stepped in and got the Anbu black ops in the movement they set up camp but the guy who arrived wasn't one of the higher ups but he was part of the organization, Asuma sent a recording of his yapping but most of them were him talking about some demigod or something but then he mentioned this being part of some big plan...he was the one who killed Asuma" Shikamaru said folding his arms. "Well this sounds bad I gotta tell the old man but truth is I haven't seen him since Christmas said he was working on some book..besides he said he's a pacifist now meaning I don't think he's gonna engage with the Anbu", Naruto sighed. "I'll tell you when I gather more information and ensure no one finds out about anything we spoke about or what we've been doing okay that would be a huge drag and I'm really not in the mood", Shikamaru said as he walked away putting his pinky finger in his ear.

"oh well seems as if it's time...an uzumaki and a Nara well well the odds are at our favor aren't they" a man said as he started his ignition and drove away.

Final exams were here and Sasuke and I still haven't gotten in touch with the guys we met nor did we get any information it's as if someone deliberately cleared the thumb drives seeing as there was nothing on them when we checked. No matter how I look at it I can't fathom how it is that they were cleared just like that. Seems like something's about to go wrong and I'd rather not be in the middle of it... speaking of which I haven't heard from my parents in almost a week and they usually always text or call atleast once. I don't like how this is going especially because I still haven't finished my essay on my career choice. Ugh everything feels like it's crashing down on me at once.

"Good morning class I have yet to introduce your Biology class teacher...Mr.Orochimaru", the old biology teacher stated. I don't know this guy yet but there's something definitely sketchy about him Sasuke didn't seem fond of him either. "Good morning class I wish you all a successful final year I hope more than anything to watch you all grow", orochimaru said as he smiled but there was something unsettling and spine chilling about his smile.

After the class ended he specifically asked to speak with Sasuke and I which was weird for a new teacher. "I hope there's no bad blood between us... believe me it wasn't my intention to replace your teacher", he grinned. Sasuke had enough of the guy and decided to leave, "As expected all you Uchiha's are the same", he grinned once more. "Your father was just the sam-" orochimaru was cutting off by the class door slamming left to himself in an empty room.

Sasuke's POV

I've heard that voice before but where...

On the phone

"have you completed the task as you said you would"-unknown

"everything is going exactly as we planned tell Kabuto to get everything ready in the lab... we've got work to do"-orochimaru

the call ended and the sound of laughter was all that was heard.
