OMOYEMI
"Push, push, push" The nurse said angrily
I wasn't annoyed by her tone, mainly because I was in distress, the other reason was because I was concerned about my Unborn child.
I pushed with all my might, gnawing my teeth. Beads of sweat trickled down my chin as I grabbed the sides of the bed to aid my pushing.
I stared at nothing in particular, but my gaze was fixated at the blue and white hospital gown which was lying shamelessly on my body. Both my legs spread apart. I looked to the side and saw my mother, her head was bowed and she looked like she was praying.
I wasn't given the opportunity to look for much longer as I was hit with a strong wave of pain. I heard a faint cry and the world seemed to shroud with darkness as I took my last breath.
