Briar froze in shock. Draco was actually kissing her. Nearly 6 years they had known and disliked each other, and never had she thought they would end up in this position. All she could feel was confusion and her mind was racing with every moment she had ever shared with him
See you at school" Draco sneered at the group before following his father
"Who was that blonde kid?" Briar asked Ron
"Draco Malfoy, he's a Slytherin and a total jerk" He shook his head
"I can report you to Professor Snape and get house points taken off you" He warned
"You might have a problem with my friends but I've never done anything to you." She snapped
"No one asked your opinion, you filthy little mudblood" He sneered to Hermione
"I hope you enjoy this game of yours, Malfoy, because no one else cares"
"You'll be next mudbloods"
"Shut up," she retorted
"You watched me?" Draco asked in shock from his hospital wing bed
"Yeah, you're a seeker" She shrugged
"You're not one to talk about family issues, I mean yours live in a barn and poor Potter and Lupin haven't got anyone to complain about" Draco cackled and Ron lunged at him
"I heard about what happened down in the Chamber...I did actually want to say that I hope you're alright after that." Briar was taken back by the sheer humanity in his eyes
"See you 'round, Lupin" He sneered
"I hope not, Malfoy" she replied
"Can you leave me alone for even one day?" Briar asked "Seriously, are you obsessed with me or something? The amount of times you manage to find me and annoy me is incredible"
"Do you remember when Hermione punched you in the face last year, Malfoy?" Briar snapped and his cheeks flushed pink "I would be more than happy to plant another one in a place far more painful if you don't shut up"
"You should be careful too, Lupin" He drawled "They're looking for half-breeds too"
"You know I'm right!" Theodore cackled "She's got potential to be one of us too"
"I said, SHUT UP!" He now roared and his head snapped towards Briar. He quickly pushed Blaise off and composed himself, glancing at the crowd watching them "What are you all looking at?!"
"Nott's a prick, Lupin. Even you could do better"
"Don't act like you care, Malfoy," She snapped
"You look amazing," He said honestly and Briar was taken back
"Well, um, you don't look bad yourself"
