I'm here for You | Shun and Lia

Stupid scenario I imagined would happen in my Oblivion Au. I probably won't give you any context because I'm not bothered too.

Everything felt so light, he could feel nothing in his body. His brain was pounding him with memories though, the battle, McQ's weird sudden power, yeah it was all a mess. He wanted to open his eyes, but he could only open one. "Mmmm, what's going on?" he mumbled, sitting up, barely opening the eye that was currently available to him. "Hey, lie back down, you need to relax" a voice said, lightly forcing him back down. "L-Lia? What, what's happening?" everything was so muddled in his brain, he wanted answers. He wanted to know what happened to his bakugan, what happened to his cousin, what happened to him. 

Lia just sighed before sitting beside him. "Mizuko dragged you back here after the battle, she barely had enough energy herself, she was covered in bruises and injuries. Her ankle was even sprained. You on the other hand... we thought you weren't even alive" Lia's voice got shaky on the last bit. "We dragged you both into the infirmary as fast as we could. They managed Mizuko, she's basically resting at the moment. Sadly I tried to heal you but couldn't. It drains too much of my energy, not to mention some of the injuries just wouldn't heal."

"What about our Bakugan?"

"Currently resting as well, they helped Mizuko contain enough energy to be able to get you here"

"What about my eye?"

"We were able to heal it up enough for you to be able to see out of it, although your iris has lost some of its colour and there's a massive scar."

Shun just put his hand up to the bandage over his eye, shaking, he felt even though it was there, that it was gone. "I'm sorry Shun" he just looked over to Lia, whose head was down with guilt. "Hey it's alright, you did your best. Besides, healing does take up a lot of your energy. I'm just happy I'm able to be here with you" he smiled, grabbing the hand that was clenched on her lap and holding it. It was a moment of silence, it wasn't awkward though, it was peaceful. Shun had to ask though, due to slight curiosity.

"Can I have some insight on the other injuries I attained?"

Lia just stared at him. "Well, you also obtained a stab wound on the side of the abdomen and deep scratch like marks on your back" Lia paused, Shun just stared at her, remembering the blades McQ wielded. "It's like he was trying to kill you" he wasn't surprised, if he was being honest. McQ always had a grudge against the family name. "He probably was, but I'm surprisingly alive now so you don't need to worry" Shun reassured, mumbling the surprised bit.

"Yes it's great you're still alive but like, don't run off into a dangerous situation without us again, okay?"

Shun just stared at Lia, who was looking at him, arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. She looked very solemn about this, in which he couldn't help but chuckle a little. "This isn't funny, Shun. I don't want to lose you like I almost did" that statement hit him like a truck. Shun just gave her a soft look, gently pulling her onto the bed. Lia lightly grumbled before dragging herself closer to him and wrapping her arms around him. Shun did the same back. They ended up just sitting there in the silence for a while, holding each other in their arms.

"You won't lose me, don't worry but..."

"Hmmm?" Lia looked up at him, raising an eyebrow and slightly sitting up.

"I don't want to lose you either"

Shun couldn't help but start slightly shaking, holding onto Lia tighter. "I don't want what happened to me to happen to you. Please." a light sob came from him. Lia just froze for a bit before wrapping her arms around him again, even tighter this time. "Shun..." she didn't know what exactly to say. "Please don't cry, you're going to make me cry" Lia whispered, wiping the tears coming from his available eye. Shun's face seemed to get kind of worried.

"No wait, I'm sorry. Please don't cry"

Lia just started laughing, "You were always so worried about other people, I love that about you" she kissed him on the forehead, causing the boy to blush a bright red. "Just moments ago you were mad at me, what is this?" Shun asked, raising an eyebrow. "And just moments ago you were chuckling at me being worried" Lia retorted back. These statements sent them both into a laughing state. Shun clutched his stomach, as it sort of hurt his wounds, it didn't hurt as much though. He could always count on Lia to make him feel better.

"Okay but seriously, if you ever need us. We're here for you. I'm here for you"

"Thanks, I'm always here for you too"

They both just smiled at each other before Lia couldn't help but check the time. She frowned a bit before hopping off the bed. "You should get some rest, you definitely need it" Lia stated, lying Shun back down. He hesitated, but Shun couldn't help but stop her

"Hey wait"

Lia turned around, eyes wide. "Yeah, Shun what's up?" he sat there in a bit of embarrassment before sighing. "I was wondering if you could... maybe... stay here? For the night?" Shun sort of mumbled the last bit, Lia still managed to catch onto it though. "Why's that?" she giggled, causing Shun to blush a little. "I, ummm, I don't know. I just, I like the company" Shun face planted himself on the inside, "Just stay, please" Lia just walked back and sat next to him on the bed, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"Alright, alright I'll stay, for you"

Shun blushed a little, before wrapping one of his arms around Lia. They ended up sitting there for a while, chilling in each other's arms, before drifting off to sleep.
