On the forgeworld of holy Mars, the factorum's never rest, they have not since before the great heresy, the war machines of Mars and the Imperium never cease, they keep fighting. Men and materials are starting to be consumed faster than they can be produced, whilst the soldiers of the Astra Militarum and the blessed angels of the astartes fight in hopes of survival and reunification of their people due to the great rift with the destruction of Cadia. Whilst they fight, bleed, and die, the priests of Mars toil in their ancient foundries in the name of the Omnisiah and the Emperor to build and rediscover ancient secrets of the past.
The Martian Priesthood have chosen to send a small expeditionary fleet to a recently discovered star system. A system that escaped from war, from the great rift, 'the warp around the system is blocked!' Astropaths cry out in anguish and pain. The fleets objective is simple: to bring the world into compliance and begin conversion into a forgeworld. Fabricator General Cawl has selected recently elevated sister Ruby Rose to lead the fleet. After all, who else amongst them had once called this world "home"? Who amongst them knows the very nature of the planet? Of the trials they could face? Her and her alone.
To Mars and her fellow priests, she is known as Rose-3110, assigned originally to a team searching for ruins from the heresy, to ensure that no traitors remain and that their taint no longer remained on holy Mars. Here she searched with others, finding ancient designs long believed to be lost in the heresy and destruction of the Magma city, but the remains of traitors were also discovered, and their corruption was discovered only after their memory cores were reactivated, leading to their summary destruction for their crimes ten millennia past. But since then, her love of weapons had seen her transferred to overseeing the production of weapons for the Mordian Iron Guard Regiments of the Astra Militarum.
But now, she would become the founder of a new Forge World! Ruby felt joy and pride coursing through the remnants of her mortal body, but at the same time, there was fear and and anxiety also. How much had Remnant changed since she arrived upon Holy Mars? Would her family still recognise her? Was Yang still alive? These thoughts rushed through her cybernetic improved brain before she controlled her own thoughts. 'Calm yourself Ruby, at Remnant, we can complete our holy goal and enlighten Remnant to the Omnisiah's word whilst looking for our family.'
As Holy Mars drifted in the void, Ruby watched as her explorator fleet gathered around her flagship, The Omnisiah's Word. In total, she had a single ark Mechancus, The Omnisiah's Word, six Endurance class-light cruiser's, four Endeavour class-light cruisers, a Tyrant class-cruiser called The Wrath of Mars, a Dictator class-cruiser named The Omnisiah's blessing, and two Lunar class-cruisers, The Iron wrath, and Bane of Hereteks. Mixed in amongst her war fleet were bulk freighters filled with Skitarii troops and the 'unmanned' Titans.
The 'unmanned' Titans had lost their crews multiple times, leading to a rumour that they were cursed, that those who crewed them were doomed to die a quick death. No legio would take them into their ranks, and before departing, Ruby communed with their machine spirits, offering them a chance to become a new titan legio, to protect her new forge world. And they accepted.
And so, with the fleet in formation, they entered the warp, bound for Remnant. And as they traveled, Ruby smiled. She was going home, and she would enlighten Remnant to the glory of the Omnisiah, and as the smile graced her face, she and her crew canted in the blessed binary:
