Obsidian Bridge

Jade and Alyssa looked at each other smiling. "Well first we need to find the ice bridge up here that leads to the north pole or some sort of bridge. We find that then it's off to see santa" Fenrir said. Valoria nodded and together they started walking forward towards the ocean. The artic air was frigid. Valoria wasn't used to the cold air. She used her magic to summon a beautiful huge thick winter coat lined with wool.
Finally they came upon a beautiful purple and black ice bridge that seemed to go on forever. Below it the ocean crashed against the shore. They all stared in shock at its beauty.
The railing on the bridge was rainbow colored and constantly changed colors due to the light reflection from the surface of the ocean. Alyssa slowly walked up to the bridge. She stretched her arm out as valoria slowly walked towards her. So as not to spook her new friend. As Alyssa touched the railing it seemed to glow like the aurora borelis. Everyone let out a surprised gasp when the bridge glowed bright purple. "OK Everyone who is first" Asked Fenrir. Everyone looked around nervously. Jade scoffed "we just fought a Titan and a Cyclops I'll go first to make sure nothing bad happens" Jade said confidently. She took a step onto the bridge and Alyssa shut her eyes while Valoria watched Jade nervously. After a few minutes Fenrir released a sigh of relief. "OK come on guys before it gets dark and we can't see shit. And then more monsters come out" Jade said. Everyone dashed towards the bridge and together they started their journey. As they looked out onto the ocean blue whales breached the surface of the water. Alyssa hurriedly looked away and Fenrir took her hand in his and she looked at him confused. Fenrir smiled reassuringly at her and she smiled back. Valoria looked at them and smiled but frowned. They walked for what seemed to be two miles. "Valoria?" "Yes jade?" "What is your life like?" "Well I have a brother. He may be a pain in the ass but I love him. He is the only family I have left I think" she said sadly. "I'm sorry to hear that" Jade said. Valoria shrugged. "It's fine I like it where it's just us because we can back each other up" Valoria said. Fenrir looked at Alyssa with sympathy. She was staring straight ahead with a blank face trying not to show any emotion. Valoria looked at him with a questioning look but he shook his head indicating now wasn't the time to mention it. Valoria nodded understanding her emotions perfectly. They continued walking till it turned pitch black and the only sound was the waves crashing against each other. Alyssa started to shudder in fear and Valoria grabbed Jades arm. Suddenly Alyssa's eyes started to glow bright blue almost florescent. Everyone stared at her in disbelief. "What? What's wrong? Did I grow horns?" Alyssa asked nervously. "Well uh please don't freak out but uh your eyes are glowing" Fenrir said. Alyssa started laughing but slowly stopped once she realized nobody else was laughing. She carefully gripped the railing and looked at her reflection in the water. Her eyes were indeed glowing and she shrugged and turned towards her friends. "Apparently I can also see clear as day so I guess I will take the lead" Alyssa said. The others agreed and so she led them through the night and as the sun Peaked over the horizon they saw what appeared to be a very colorful village.
