"What can turn people into statues?" Valoria asked. "Well there's 2 species a gorgon which judging from these guys isn't the case. But there's also" but before Rubia could finish a tree fell at their feet. They looked up in horror at a tall grayish creature with long arms and huge muscles and one closed eye. Rubia and zen gasped as valoria held her arm out gathering dark magic in her palm. "Valoria no!" Rubia cried out as it's eye opened and a purple beam shot at her turning her to stone as zen and Rubia jumped to the sides of the tree. Rubia cursed and Zen jumped up onto the fallen tree trunk and ran at the creature. "Zen the only way to kill this thing is stabbing its eye" Rubia shouted. Zen nodded and jumped up high in the air just barely missing the purple beam that turned the beautiful fallen tree to stone. Zen landed on the tree as the creature shot the purple beam at Rubia. Rubia hid behind a tree but the beam caught a tiny piece of her pant leg. She broke it off as Zen kicked the creatures chest making it slide back a few feet. It shot the purple beam at Zen hitting him directly in the chest. He instantly turned to stone as Rubia sighed. "Guess i have no choice but to use the weapon" she said nervously. Rubia held out her arms and chanted an old Greek phrase. The air around her started to heat up as a flaming sword with a red blade appeared in her hand. Rubia thought of a strategy.
She would use fireballs as a distraction while she went in for the kill. She would have to jump up then stab it's most vulnerable part. It's eye. Rubia crouched down and threw four fireballs at  the monsters chest then dashed under them. The creature batted them away with one arm as Rubia jumped high up in the air with her sword in her hands. She grabbed the things neck and plunged the sword in its eye as blood splattered on her face and the creature fell onto its back as blood pooled underneath it. Rubia pulled the sword out of its eye. Rubia walked over to Zen as the gray started to fade away and he gasped for air as the others were experiencing the same thing. Zen laughed and hugged Rubia. "You did it you beautiful son of a bitch you did it" he said happily. Valoria looked at the monster up close. "Say Rubia what is this thingy?" Valoria asked. "It's a cyclops we were unfortunate to run into it" said the girl with a Celtic sword. "And you couldn't have killed the mother fucker before we got here" Valoria said angrily. "If you hadn't noticed we were turned into stone" the girl spat back. "Enough both of you. Please let's all calm down it doesn't matter anymore because it's dead. What matters is that we make it to the north pole to Santa. Then to free Jotunheim" the girl with a Khopesh said. "Santa? Who are you people" Zen asked confused. "I'm jade that's Alyssa and the wolf who is currently scanning the area is Fenrir. Yes that Fenrir. Don't worry he won't kill us all" Jade said confidently. "OK but why do you have to see santa?" Rubia asked suspiciously. "In order to save Jotunheim and defeat a powerful enemy"  Alyssa said. "May we tag along? You know in case more monsters show up?" Valoria asked. Zen and Rubia looked at each other then Zen grabbed Valoria by the arm and hauled her behind a nearby tree. "Sorry we will be back we just need to talk to her" Rubia said then hurried over to Zen and Valoria. "Are you insane we don't even know these people. And do you know what Jotunheim is? The realm of giants so what exactly awaits us. Death" Zen said angrily. "But they need our help. I'm not going to leave them" Valoria said. Zen sighed. "Fine then we will go south. We need to continue the mission here" Rubia said. "Alright then I shall meet you at the Parthenon in Greece I'm not sure how we will get there but we will find a way" Valoria said. Rubia hugged her tightly and Zen joined in on the hug. They let go and all looked at each other with confidence then Rubia and Zen walked into the woods as Valoria shed a single tear. A tear for the people she had known to be her closest friends. Valoria sighed and walked towards the group. "Alright how the fuck do we get to Santa claus" Valoria said.
