Final Chapter II

Ever since I was born, I've been aware that my father was part of politics that's why sometimes our life is in danger. Pero hindi naman hinahayaan ni Dad na mapahamak kami nila Mommy, that's why I am grateful dahil pinoprotektahan kami ni Daddy.

When I was five, palagi akong kasama ni Daddy dahil isa siyang Mayor. I'm always with him on his agenda, but of course I have to be quiet! I'm with my toys, nasa labas ako ng conference room dahil bawal daw ang bata kaya dito ako naghihintay.

"Cyan, dito ka muna. Pupuntahan ko lang ang Mommy mo, sinusundo niya kasi ang Daddy mo doon sa opisina niya. Magpapaalam lang ako kung puwede ka na umuwi dahil may klase ka pa mamaya, at para makapag-ready ka."

Napalingon ako sa likod ko nang may marinig na boses. It was a woman, holding a girl with a stuffed toy in her hand. She seems so innocent! May candy pa siyang hawak sa isang kamay, she was licking it while nodding.

"Okay po," oh, her voice was so soft!

She sat beside me! Hindi tuloy ako makapaglaro, nahihiya ako sa kaniya, I don't know why. Nanahimik nalang ako habang tinitingnan siya. I was so quiet while watching her eating ice cream. Tumulo pa 'yon kaya kumuha ako ng handkerchief sa bag ko.

I was about to give it when a boy suddenly approached him. Napatigil ako. I hid it from behind when he looked at me. Sinulyapan ko 'yong babae, but I can't see her! Tinatakpan siya nito!

"Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing, uh, excuse me," umiling pa ako bago umalis.

Pinuntahan ko si Mommy na naglalakad papunta sa akin. She held my hand. Sinabi niya na pupuntahan namin si Daddy. Nilingon ko pa ulit 'yon bago ako magpatianod kay Mommy.

Habang lumalaki ako, hindi ko maiwasan ma-curious kung bakit may mga taong nag-aaway, maybe it was their wants? O may pinaglalaban sila? I don't know the answer why. Just like my parents, they almost lost their marriage.

I know I am still young, but I am understanding the situation. Hindi naman ako manhid, hindi rin ako pinalaking tanga nila Mommy para hindi maintindihan. It was too obvious lalo na kung alam kong may taong gumagawa ng paraan para pag-awayin sila

At bata palang ako, I really hate Luke's mother. Si Tita Klarisse. Siya ang gumagawa ng paraan para pag-awayin ang parents ko.

Kakatapos lang ng libing ni Tito Elorde. And I don't why he died, but one thing is for sure. Someone killed him. Aside from that, I found out that something happened at 'yon ang naging dahilan kung bakit nangyari 'yon kay Tito Elorde pero hindi ako naniniwala na ang babaeng sinisisi nila ang may kasalanan.

I know, it's Tita Klarisse! She's crazy! Pero hindi nila napapansin.

Pinalipas ang nangyari. Everyone forgot that. Mas lalo rin namin nakilala si Luke dahil madalas siyang isama ni Tito Lane sa mansion namin, gano'n rin kina Lawrence.

We became friends because of our fathers. George and Luke are closer, while Lawrence and I are closer to each other.

Their family and mine were always celebrating the occasion together.

Actually, when we were going to the Netherlands, dapat kasama sina Luke but Tito Lane refused. May pupuntahan raw kasi sila this August 10, birthday of someone. Hindi ko naman kilala 'yon kaya kahit magtanong ako, useless.

Having a trip to the Netherlands is so damn happy. We tried a lot of things when we got there. I also buy things from my friends in the Philippines.

"Mommy, I'm tired of walking," naupo ako sa isang vacant chair nang tumigil kami sa harap ng isang shop.
