My cheeks were sore and red from the amount of smiling I've done since coming into work today. It's my 24th and my friends who happen to also be my coworkers did the absolute most! I wouldn't really say I'm a shy person but I'm just fine blending into the background.
"Welcome to Early Blends how can I help you today?" I give the same intro as every other day.
"Um can I get a iced coffee three creams with white chocolate and vanilla and a orange cranberry muffin. Oh happy birthday." The customer ends noticing my tiara put on my head.
They let me keep their change just like a few others today. I've also gotten plenty of cash apps today since they put my code on the sash.
"I can't wait to clock out!" Doja popped up behind me. "We are getting drunk high and partying all night!"
"So when you say all night..."
"Yes pass eleven you grandma we not going to the club until eleven anyway." She says moving around making drinks.
"Wait then what are we doing before then?"
"Pregaming honey...I have so much to teach you. Cappuccino and honey roll for David!?"
A woman comes up picking the cup up. "Uh it's suppose to be iced and I didn't order this fat roll. Is it really that hard to make a drink properly?"
"Are you David? Did you order these items? Is it really that hard to wait for your ordered items?" The woman rolled her eyes stepping back.
"Uh excuse me I'm David."
The rest of the day went by relatively easy I didn't get fussed at much and if I did doja was arms length away ready for whatever. Our friendship wasn't one I ever saw coming. I'm a closed off person I keep to myself and she's the complete opposite and yet we mesh so well. She's helped a lot when it's come to my confidence. She's the back bone I've always wanted.
"And here we are! Happy birthday baby!"
We enter the hotel they got for us instantly shot with confetti. Znuie camera out as usual being she's a vlogger. I quickly cover my face not wanting to be seen all flustered.
"Happy birthday bitch!"
"Z get the camera out here face!"
"Ma'am goodbye. Alright guys we about to start our festivities check in later. Happy now?"
"Girl...I'm not doing this with you or the imaginary people you talk to. We got bottles music blunts all for you girlie."
"I mean why not just enjoy this we don't even need to go out." Yes I'm trying to get out of this! My nerves have been racking since we left work!
"No way grandma you big grown now 24! Party like a big girl just this once never know you might find some birthday-"
