Some background information;
Chris was a teenager when he and Billy met, he was closer with Sidney since they were kids.
Unknown to him/Or rather unconfirmed to him, Sidney liked him, and Billy knew about it, he didn't know whether Chris liked her back or not but he believed that he did and that's where part of his hate for Sidney developed.
Chris wasn't dumb so he knew about the crush as well, it was rather obvious because Sidney didn't hide it well.
He could tell by how awkward she got around him whenever they were close to each other, how shy and nervous she was. Also the looks Tatum gave away.
He tried to like her back, and at some point he thought he did, he didn't want to break her heart but something didn't feel quite right. But he avoided it.

CHRIS'S POV
Out of the blue, a telephone started ringing.
A hand reaches for it, bringing the receiver up to the face of Chris Jolie, a young boy, no more than seventeen. A friendly face with innocent eyes.
"Hello." Says Chris.
"Hello." Replies a voice.
"Yes?" Says Chris.
"Who is this?" Speaks the unknown person.
"Who are you trying to reach?" Asks Chris.
"I don't know."
"I think you have the wrong number." Replies Chris.
"Do I?"
"It happens. Take it easy."
CLICK! He hangs up the phone. Chris moves from the living room to the kitchen. It's a nice house. Affluent.
