📌 Doc, TBC bring the best out of each other. Is there room for concern for Cheese?
After blowing a huge lead, insiders around the league believe TBC has a fatal flaw. They think that cogs with the Bookworm badge will have Cheese's number, as TBC only has three moves. The Bookworm badge increases the likelihood of dodging your opponent's attacks after your opponent has used each of their moves one time. Next up for Cheese? Another cog with Bookworm: Bloodsucker.📌 Flunky upsets Raider: who does the result say more about?
While I'm unsure about it being Flunky's time, he does have the Heavy Hitter badge which makes him a bigger threat than usual. The Heavy Hitter badge allows cogs to stun their opponents if they land a move that is over 25 points. I expect Raider to bounce back Week 2 against Pusher but his plunging in this week's rankings is justified. Flunky has a chance to be 2-0 if he can take down Cruncher on Monday.📌 Young Caller's World
The defending champ is #1 in the rankings for the first time of his career after beating Shaker to open the season. There were rumors that people were pushing him to be #1 before Week 1 but it all worked out in Caller's favor. Combining power with balance, Caller is a threat weekly to put together great showings. Up next, he'll take on rival Name Dropper, who beat him last season.📌 Just how good can Wig be?
Lawbot Nation is buzzing after the #2 ranked cog came from behind to down Loan Shark. What made Wig's win even more impressive is that he didn't land a single stun, instead leaning on his secondary attacks to keep Shark off guard and not allowing his Bookworm to activate. Next up, Wig tangles with rival Eagle under the lights.📌 Has Penny Pincher arrived? Time to panic for Ming?
Not only did he blast The Mingler but he told him he would expose him before the fight and that's exactly what he did. The fight was 103-83 after seven rounds and Ming's Bookworm was activated. That didn't phase Penny who stunned the two-time champ a total of four times in a dominant showing. Up next for Penny, another huge divisional showdown, this time against Micromanager. As for Ming, yes his showing was ugly. He failed to land his signature at any point and he never seemed to be in a consistent rhythm. However, I believe that this fight was more about Penny than it was about Ming. The urgency is definitely upped for his next matchup versus Stabber, though.
📌 Bean continues to be a problem for Eagle and the rest of the league
This was Bean's third straight victory over Eagle. Bean reasserted himself as a force, particularly defensively as his armor and speed were too much for the three-time champ to overcome. Bean travels to face Shorty on Monday while Eagle will match-up with Wig.Quotes from the Cogs
"No, I'm not surprised that I won. If you ask me, I'm the better cog. I was due for a dub. It is my time, as I keep telling you. This isn't a drill. They're going to have to see me. Everybody!" - Flunky on beating Raider"About a C. I felt like I was flat." - Bean rating his performance vs Eagle
"I just really want my Ring of Rebels invitation, you know what I'm saying? One of their main principles is to stand ten toes if you say something and that's what I did with Ming. You familiar with the Cars series? I'm Jackson Storm coming to end McQueen's (Ming) career." - Penny on his inspiration to beat Ming
"I was just really really tired the 2nd half of the fight. He drains you in the ring and if you try to press forward, it makes it worse." - Eagle on fighting Bean
"It sucks. I really don't have anything else to say." - Shark on losing late lead to Wig
"We're (Bossbots) a pack of wolves over here. It's either be the hunter or the hunted. Doc did what he had to do. I'm proud of him but at the same time I'm mad at myself. But don't worry, Blood gon feel this wrath." - TBC's feelings about losing to Doc
"It's about damn time. I'm actually disappointed I got here so fast. I thought that it would be a bit of a fight. I guess not. Shout-out to Flunky and shout-out to Raider too." - Caller on being ranked #1
