^^ for reference later on

Almost a week had passed since Okoye had left to join T'Challa. Kimora was still at the palace, where each day she and Shuri had found new things to entertain themselves with. However, today's plan was quite boring.

Kimora had a beautiful pile of homework to do before school reopened, and Shuri had to
add finishing touches to the new black panther suits she was designing.

The two girls had woken up early in the morning to eat breakfast with Queen Mother. Following T'Chaka's death Ramonda had insisted that they spend at least one meal together each day.

So here they were at 8 am in the palace's dining room. Shuri wasn't a morning person, so she ate her breakfast half asleep with her palm pressed to her cheek to help keep her head up.

While Kimora and Ramonda on the other hand were in good spirits and excited about the day.

"Have you girls chosen your outfits for T'Challa's ceremony yet?" Ramonda asked even though she could already predict their answers.

Kimora nodded "I got mine together two days ago."

Ramonda smiled, she expected that.

"And you Shuri?" She questioned, turning to her daughter.

Shuri's eyes were shut and she was dozing off.

"S." Kimora nudged her best friend with her leg. "Hm?" Shuri hummed not opening her eyes. "Your mother asked you a question," Kimora says poking the girls' side repeatedly until Shuri finally kissed her teeth and opened her eyes.

"What is it." She complained glaring at Kimora.

"Don't look at me like that, you knew we had breakfast at 8 and still chose to stay up all night."

"You should've remi-

Queen Ramonda sighed as the two girls got ready to bicker. "Shuri have you found an outfit for your brothers' ceremony." She repeated, cutting her daughter off.

Shuri's mouth shut immediately and she pursed her lips. Kimora held back a snicker because this was classic Shuri behavior. Waiting until the last minute was her style.

"Really Shuri?" Ramonda questioned rubbing her forehead.

"What we have time! He said he'd be gone a while." Shuri exclaims to defend her lack of readiness.

The queen opened her mouth to speak but stopped as one of the Dora's opened the large door to the dining room.

She spoke in Xhosa.

"𝙐𝙭𝙤𝙡𝙤 𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙠𝙪𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙯𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙖 𝙪𝙆𝙪𝙢𝙠𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙯𝙞 𝙪𝙈𝙖𝙢𝙖" (Pardon the interruption Queen Mother)

Kimora looked at the Dora member curiously.

They'd only interrupt if it was something important.

Shuri shifted in her seat uncomfortably, the last time a Dora member came into the room apologizing for their interruption, her father had been pronounced dead.

"𝙔𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙞?" (What is it?) Ramonda questioned.

"𝙄𝙣𝙠𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙖 𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙚 𝙪𝙢𝙮𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙯𝙤. 𝙐𝙯𝙖𝙠𝙪𝙗𝙖 𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙖 𝙠𝙬𝙞𝙞𝙮𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙪" (The prince has sent a message. He will be here in three hours.)

Ramonda smiled "Thank you Yama."

The Dora retreated and Ramonda cleared her throat. "What was it you said about having time?"
