I wake up to the sound Billy banging on my door. "Grace get up! We're gonna be late to school."

"I'm getting up!" I yell. I quickly change into a off the shoulder gray knitted sweater, and some gray sweatpants. I quickly run over to my desk to put on some mascara. I don't wear much makeup because I don't really know how. I run into the bathroom and brush my hair and teeth.

As I walk out of the bathroom I notice Billy standing by my room. "Are you almost done?! You're taking forever!"

"Can't you see! I'm literally almost done!" Billy groans. "Plus we still have 10 more minutes!"

"Just hurry!"

"What do you think I'm doing?!" I roll my eyes. "Have you let Buddy out yet?" I smirk, I knew he would forget, because he always forgets.

"Oh shit!" Billy yells as he runs downstairs. I laugh to myself as I follow him down the stairs so I can start eating and make snarky comments to Billy about how he could forget about his precious dog.

I grab a bagel and stick it into the toaster. I watch as Billy and Buddy walk into the house. "It's the 3rd time this week."

"Shut up."

"I'm guessing Mom's already at work, huh?" I say as my bagel pops out of the toaster.

"Yeah she wanted to leave early." Buddy trots over to me as I'm putting the cream cheese on my bagel.

"Do you want the other half? You know I don't eat much breakfast."

"Sure." Billy walks over to me and takes the one with cream cheese on it.

"Hey! That's mine!" I yell as I try to get my bagel back. Billy lifts it above his head, where I can't reach since he's taller than me. "Whatever." I roll my eyes and start putting cream cheese on my bagel.

As I enter the school I see Bruce, Robin, and Finney waiting for Billy and I. "Hi Gracie!" Bruce sweetly smiles. I love Bruce's smile, it was one of my favorite things about him. He always cares about me and makes sure I'm alright. Bruce is definitely a chick magnet, but he never really cares much about them. And popularity never gets into his head. Bruce plays baseball, and he's great at it.

"Hey Grace." Finney says. Finney is very quiet and shy. But when he's with us he become a chatter box. It really makes me happy knowing that Finney feels comfortable with us. No one really messes with Finney anymore because he has us, well mostly Robin.

"Grace we should all hang this weekend and watch a movie at the drive-in." Robin says with excitement. Robin is the 2nd strongest kid here, of course Vance Hopper being the strongest. Robin doesn't fight people that give him a dirty looks, he fights people that mess with us or deserves it. Unlike Vance Hopper who fights anyone he can, it's like he starts problems just so he can beat someone's ass.

"We totally should! I don't think we're busy this weekend." I say with a smile.

"And I'm definitely not busy because baseball season ended awhile ago." Bruce says looking at Robin.

"I know I can come just let me ask Gwen if she wants to come." Finney says as the bell rings signaling us to get to class. I groan as I know what waiting for me in my first period.

"Goodluck with Hopper!" Billy yells as I walk away. I have first period with Vance, I always hated first period because Vance sits next to me and always tries to bother me. I can't ignore him because it just keeps getting worse. I honestly don't know why some girls find him attractive. Sure he's good looking but it's nothing to swoon about. The girls that try to get with Vance ends up getting rejected, all of them do. Everyone's afraid of Vance even the girls that think he's cute or swoon over him. No one every messes with Pinball Vance. I don't even think Hopper has any feelings at all, he never cares about anyone but himself, he's never really had a girlfriend because all of them are too afraid of them. Unlike everyone else, I'm not afraid of him. He's dumbest person I've ever met and I've kinda figured out how to control his anger so he doesn't beat the living shit out of me.
