Many, many moons before the current Clans, the Clan's territory had been inhabited by four very different Clans--DawnClan, SunClan, DuskClan, and MoonClan.
DawnClan cats lived on the moors where MeadowClan resides. They were known to be very vain and cowardly when it came to fighting.
SunClan lived in RidgeClan's former territory with a camp that was said to be at the top of the Highstones. SunClan cats were known for their long, golden colored coats and broad shoulders.
DuskClan used to settle in CreekClan's territory. DuskClan cats were known to be more cold-hearted than the other Clans, courtesy of the heavy mist that would occasionally cover the territory.
Finally, there was MoonClan, who lived in BriarClan's current territory. MoonClan cats were mysterious, choosing to hide their many secrets in the darkness.
These four Clans lived in harmony until one day, an event wiped them out. From the ashes rose Briarstar, Creekstar, Meadowstar and Ridgestar. The four leaders set out to rebuild their Clans under different values that their predecessors. They formed modern day BriarClan, CreekClan, MeadowClan and RidgeClan.
Some elders claim there was a fifth Clan, but the name and details of this fifth Clan, nicknamed LostClan has been well, lost. Some elders claim that LostClan left the territories after the other four Clans were nearly destroyed in search of a new home. However, most younger cats dismiss the stories of LostClan as an elder's tale, claiming that LostClan never really existed. Whether or not your cat believes in LostClan is up to you but just know that LostClan might be out there, somewhere, waiting to return.
The Shadowy Clearing: a small clearing that faintly resembled MeadowClan's moors but lies on BriarClan's side of the border. MeadowClan and BriarClan have fought over the clearing many times, leading to multiple cats' deaths. The Clearing remains contested to this day and a major political bargaining tool.
A few moons ago, a bout of a mysterious sickness flooded the territories, killing of many cats, including all four leaders.
The most recent bout of plague mostly wiped out RidgeClan, causing the Clan to disband. Now former RidgeClan warriors mostly live in BriarClan and CreekClan, but a few live in MeadowClan.
BriarClan is built on the idea of pride. Under the rule of Blazestar, BriarClan has become strong, stealthy and proud to call themselves battle winners.BriarClan is built on a strong base of battle training. Before apprentices even discuss concepts of hunting, they are taught how to disable their enemies and sneak through the thick undergrowth.
CreekClan is a clan that deviates from the standard rules of a Clan under the rule of Scarstar, a newer leader who inherited the position. They are built on ideas of regularity and clockwork practice, with hidden traditions about it.They live with an aura of smugness and a sharp wit between the creeks.Scarstar has plans to change things, though...
Meadowclan is created on the life of luxury and comfort. Under Stormstar's rule, the clan has thrived like never before, growing closer as a clan.They make the idea of relaxation and respect well known throughout their lifestyle. Despite their lazy appearance, they are swift on their paws and can bound through the broken territory faster than the hares born there. There is something strange about these cats, but the the other clans only seem to notice their oddly easy life.
