Lana's POV

"I'm sorry"

I whispered, eyes cast down as I glared at the paint bucket in front of me.

"What are you doing here"

His voice seemed to have a more harsher baritone, than the last time he spoke, with each word enunciating how angry he was.

"I saw the piano..."

I twiddled with my fingers, trying to form a correct sentence while a twinge of anxiety nibbled my chest.

My breath laboured as I clutched my skirt in a tight grasp,
Why was I so scared and nervous?

"Calm down"

My eyes shot up to his grey eyes, the storm in them dissipating as smoke.
I hadn't realised I was visibly shaking until he told me to calm down

I held his forearm as he led me to sit on the piano bench.

My eyes took in the size of the room I was in and it was massive, paintings hanging on the walls in grandeur
Paintbrushes and palettes strewn around, the gory details of Sketches resting on the oak panels.

"Wow"

I whispered playing with my necklace as I took in the beauty of this place.

"Here"

A bottle of water was thrust into my hands and I almost laughed at the awkward grimace on his face while handing it over

"Thank you......"

I trailed off , hoping he'd catch that I was silently asking for his name

But he ignored me, either on purpose or the fact that he was immersed on the arbitrary beauty he was painting on the canvas.

I watched him, entranced with every stroke of brush that swept the canvas
The way the colours formed a beautiful symphony across the canvas
The was his body seemed at perfect ease as he smeared fistfuls of red paint across the easel.

The shrill sound of my phone ringing broke the sound of silence
I clutched the phone to my chest and looked at the boy who continued to paint despite the loud interruption from my part.

"I'm sorry"

I whispered yelled at him, his shoulders were tense making it obvious that I had interrupted him whilst his head was somewhere else

I got a nod in response and my eyes flashed to Rio picture blinking brightly across my screen. I bit my lip, a brief hesitation before answering

"Hello"

"You have two seconds to meet me at the parking lot before I leave you"

I shot to my feet, glancing at the wall clock, I had been so enraptured watching the enigma who made art seem alive that I hadn't realised that time hadn't been on my side

"I have to go"

I packed my bag rushing out of the art room, well not before shooting one more look to the stormy grey eyed boy who was staring back at me.
I stood rooted at my place close to the door our eyes locked in on each other.
Seemed like everything else fade away, I hiked my bag up feeling shy all of a sudden

"See you tomorrow"

I said with a small smile and an awkward wave before sprinting out of there.

I made it to the parking lot just in time to see Rio entering his BMW
His blue eyes pining me down with a death glare

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make wait"

I tried opening the door but he locked it, I knew one thing Rio hated was waiting.
It made him feel as though he was not worth meeting in the first place

"Rio I'm sorry"

I softly knocked on the side window, we were already getting looks from people lingering around the parking lot.
Panic shot through me as he started the car

"Rio, please"

I tapped the side window in haste, tears were already rolling down my face before he decided to let me in.

I made my way in the car, sitting in silence as he drove us out of the school with a death grip on the steering wheel and a more deadlier speed

I clutched the leather seats in fear, the was he drove was maniacal
Every swerve he made had me shaking at the edge of my seat
I knew he was angry and this was my punishment but this was too cruel of a punishment for me

"Rio"

I called, swallowing the bile in my throat but he ignored me and accelerated more
I could sense the rage coursing through his veins and  it was radiating off him in waves
He made a sharp turn and my heart jumped in fear

I clutched the rims of the seat tighter, my heart pounding in my chest, I could hear it beating loudly in my ears

"Jesus Christ Rio"

I yelled at him and he glanced at me with rage swirling around his eyes

' I'm sorry, I really am"

I tried reaching for him, in an urge to pacify him but he pushed me away from him making my head hit the window harshly

"You're fucking sorry "

He banged the steering wheel, laughing when he saw the blood running down the side of my head

My blood ran cold immediately, seeing the maddening look on his face, he was beyond enraged at me
He made another sharp turn, staring at me as he saw how heady I looked.

Through my haze, I could see children crossing the street and if Rio didn't stop now we'd crash into them

"Rio stop the car"

I shouted, urgency lacing my voice

"Rio please I'm begging you"

We were closing in on the children but he continued on with his death speed

I screamed, closing my eyes as it seemed we would make impact but he slammed the break just in-time

I shuddered in fear, opening the car door and crawling out into the road throwing up at the side walk
I was trembling maybe out of anger or fear as I stared into Rio eyes
He was leaning against the car lighting a cigar
The children had been long gone and I was thankful For that

"Get in the car Lana"

Rio said with a sadistic grin gracing his lips and I shuddered
I shook my head No and he laughed at me before going into his car and driving off
Leaving me a trembling mess on the floor.....
