The RMP team gathered round for the first time, each member staring at the others with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. Luther was the first to speak, and he let out a string of curses as he realized that he had been paired with Agnes and Erasmus."This is bullshit," he said, pacing back and forth. "I know you two have had bad blood with the goblin in the past, and now I'm being dragged into this for no reason. My life is ruined, and there's no way that a rogue, a mage, and a priest can work together. It's a disaster waiting to happen."
Agnes and Erasmus looked at each other, unsure of how to react to Luther's outburst. They had their own issues with the goblin, and were not happy about being paired with him either. But they knew that they had to work together if they wanted to have any chance of earning their freedom and the reward of a magnificent armored dragon.
"Calm down, Luther," Agnes said, trying to placate him. "We're in this together, and we have to make the best of it. We have different skills and abilities, and if we use them wisely, we might be able to win some battles and earn some points. It's not going to be easy, but it's not impossible either. Let's not give up before we even start."
Erasmus nodded in agreement, and added his own thoughts. "Agnes is right, Luther. We have to work together and trust each other if we want to succeed. We can't afford to let our personal issues get in the way of our goal. Let's put aside our differences and focus on the task at hand. We can do this, if we try."
Luther listened to their words, and slowly calmed down. He knew that they were right, and that he had no choice but to work with them. He sighed and nodded, and the RMP team was officially formed. It was going to be a long and difficult journey, but they were determined to emerge victorious.
The RMP team was gearing up for their first fight, and Luther was determined to lead them to victory. He explained his plan to the others, insisting that the only way to win was for him to carry the team and for them to follow his lead."Listen up, you two," he said, pointing at Agnes and Erasmus. "I'm going to attack whoever I'm attacking, and you have to support me. Agnes, I need you to use your polymorph ability on the healer so I can kill the kill target without being interrupted. Erasmus, you need to heal me and keep me alive. Got it?"
Agnes looked at Luther with disbelief, and tried to explain that polymorph was a complex spell that required four seconds of quiet casting without being interrupted. "You can't just expect me to cast it on a whim," she said. "If I'm touched or distracted in any way, the spell will be ruined. It's not that easy, Luther."
Erasmus, meanwhile, was overwhelmed by the thought of combat and had blanked out. He didn't hear anything that was said, and was just staring at the ground in fear.
Luther sighed and shook his head, frustrated by their lack of understanding. "Fine, whatever," he said. "Just do your best and don't screw up. We have to win this fight.''
The goblin reappeared, and announced that the first day would involve three arena games of qualification for this season's arena tournament. Each team had to win two out of three games in order to qualify, and if they didn't, they would have to wait another twelve months in slavery, cleaning after this season's fighters.
The RMP team listened to the announcement with a mixture of fear and determination. They knew that they had to win two out of three games in order to have any chance of earning their freedom and the reward of a magnificent armored dragon. But they also knew that their opponents would be fierce and skilled, and that they would have to fight with all their strength and skill to emerge victorious.
The first game was against a team of two warriors and a healer, and the RMP team knew that they would have to use their unique combination of skills and abilities to gain an advantage. Luther would have to use his stealth and control to stun and confuse the enemies, Agnes would have to use her fire magic to deal damage, and Erasmus would have to heal and protect his teammates. It was going to be a tough and challenging fight, but they were determined to win.
