Chapter 6

Everyone couldn't dare move when they heard Griffin's scream.

Tessa started to bark and the screeching at the door started again. This time, it was accompanied with banging.

Finney moved first, Gwen's grip on his shoulder releasing, as he ran across the hall to open Billy's door.

The others began to move toward the room as well, until the living room window broke.

"MIERDA!" Robin yelled out as a Walker had crashed into the window, screaming and snarling, trying to grab at the boys.

Vance attacked it with his bat, bringing the weapon down on the neck of the man through the window.

The banging at the door continued, as did the screeching, and Tessa's barking.

Terrance shouted some orders at the two boys with him, telling them to keep the ones at the window out, while he used his body to block the door.

Gwen had followed her brother into the other room, seeing the situation and acting accordingly.

Finney saw Billy using a pillow to prevent the Walker on him from biting. Bruce was slowly getting up from the ground, some blood running down his face from a cut just sbove his brow.

Griffin was holding back Tessa, in fear that she would be bitten from trying to protect her owner and best friend, crying silently as he watched his boyfriend struggle with a walker.

Gwen ran up to Griffin and pulled him off the floor. Ushering him out of the room and into the other.

Finney pointed his gun at the window, where a second Walker was attempting to climb in, right above Bruce. His grip on the weapon shook as he tried to calm his nerves.

He heard Billy struggle. He couldn't move. He couldn't see straight.

He worried that he would hit Billy or Bruce by accident.

Finney watched as the Walker on his friend managed to pull the pillow from under it and grab at Billy's head, trying to bite.

He heard Billy scream out his name before he finally took a shot.

The Walker at the window screamed as the bullet pierced its chest, stopping for a minute before continuing to climb in.

Bruce seemed to gain full consciousness as he got up and away from the window, pulling his bat from its spot against the wall.

Finney took another shot and it was like everything was in slow motion.

The bullet passed the head of the first Walker but hit the second one right in between the eyes.

It fell limp and Bruce took the chance to hit the Walker at the window away, just as Billy managed to push the Walker off him, and close the curtains. Hoping that if anything, the fabric would confuse the Walkers for a minute.

Billy grabbed the knife he dropped and dug it into the neck of the Walker.

He pulled it out just as Finney pulled him from the ground and they all ran to the other room. Finney pushed Billy in first and checked on the other 3 down the hall.

He saw as Terrance was pushing his body against the door to keep Walkers out and Robin and Vance were keeping the ones at the window from coming in.

"Go help them, I'll get these four into the tree house!" Brucd called out, opening the window and checking before climbing out.

Finney slid the gun to Griffin before running to help Vance against the door.

Griffin picked it up and turned to see Gwen jump out the window.
