Chapter Two: Don't Stand So Close to Me
01x02: Single Point of Failure.

*Trigger warning*

Callie was sleeping on a couch. Not just any couch Walter's couch. Because of her couch, well it's a funny story. You see in her apartment building she lived on the second floor, and her neighbor above her who by the way is the loudest person she had ever heard at three am. But that's a different story. For a different day maybe she was being a tad bit dramatic, but she had every right to be. She heard this weird gurgling sound coming from above her and at first, she just shook it off. Well, the noise went on for six more hours and she was completely fed up. So she did what any concerned neighbor would do. She hit the top of her ceiling with a broom handle. The noise continued and she was invested in finishing her book on "Advanced Climate Change in Africa" so she collected her things and went to her room. Where the noise wasnt Residing at the time. Fast forward to later that night she was sleeping peacefully in her bed when the biggest crash came from her living room. She honestly didn't hear it, but it was her dog who alerted her. She didn't sleep with her hearing aids on. She grabbed her gun and followed the sound seeing her upstairs neighbor's bathtub into her living room full of water.

Her sister was house-sitting and can't see without her glasses very well and left the water running in the bathtub, which of course filled up over time causing her entire bathroom to flood into her house and also her downstairs person's apartment. She didn't have any choice she needed to stay somewhere and immediately. At first, she was going to check herself into a hotel, and you may be thinking what about Mabel, well Mabel's house was being fumigated so she was staying with her sister-in-law in San Fran for a while. So that was a no go but also as cute as Sweater was she was highly allergic to Cats, which wasnt fun at all. She tried to call cabe but realized he was most likely with his ex-wife and she didn't want to admit she needed him because they were fighting after she quit Homeland so she called the only other person she knew in this city. Walter was more than happy to help her. She drove to the garage where they had been meeting for some time and he agreed to let her sleep on his couch.

It was currently eight in the morning, according to the alarm she had set. She yawned and stretched tiptoeing downstairs, she turned the coffee pot on and yawned again sleepily petting Mojo her dog. You see Callie got Mojo when she was twelve, a first her was a gift from Brin she wanted to give Callie a friend, but Callie fell in love with him and decided she would train him for any and every situation, that dog could diffuse a bomb if she showed him how. He was smart and never left her side even in public and if she told him to stay he would do it. He's a good dog and she loved him so much.

She went back upstairs trying not to wake up Walter who slept like a rock and grabbed workout clothes, before brushing her teeth and then slipping them on the matching navy blue sports bra and leggings combo. She gripped her hair and pulled it in a tight high ponytail before grabbing her iPod and plucking it into the arm strap she had. She whistled lowly at Mojo whose ears perked up and he climbed down off the couch, ready to go for their morning run. Callie put his service animal vest on and they were out the door. She wasn't familiar with this side of the town and after an hour or two,  she found herself on the pier. she smiled at the bright sun and the birds chirping loudly and made her way back to the garage. No one was there or at least that she saw and she unleashed Mojo and let him roam free. He lay on his bed which was in the small kitchen while she blasted the sweet sweet sounds of Brendon Urie in her ears. She began dancing along to the song. Drumming to the beat with her hands. Before the song ended and "We Are the Champions" began playing. She knew that she probably sounded like a dying animal. But didn't care at all swaying her hips to the beat dancing and singing loudly while making her and Walter a cup of coffee. Walter had shown her around the night before to get her familiar with everything, Mojo just lay down on the floor going to sleep too embarrassed by his owner's actions to watch.
