Chapter fourteen: August and Piper

After walking to the mcdonalds and grabbing myself a chicken sandwich and going to a market to get some vitamin water. Side note I hate the taste of water and I don't like drinking soda so I settle for flavored water cause its good while it doesn't kill me over time. Ok now after all of that, I start walking to the front of the Westminster bridge. As i'm walking I see big been on the right of me. Big but not that big. Not as big as I thought it would be. I mean, It is only ten feet taller than the Statue of liberty.

After crossing the bridge I see them. Piper and August. Piper is wearing a pink hoodie with a black bag over the front with a spiky collar around her neck. She's also wearing black shoes with pink laces in them with black joggers. I'm pretty sure I haven't mentioned the fact that she has pink hair. Half pink and half blond that is. Looking like an absolute bad bitch that Is iconic.

Now, I would have thought August would be coming up here with a different aesthetic. But he matches the both of us ironically. He's wearing White joggers with a black hoodie that says black pink in pink lettering. With a pink beanie on that has a shattered heart on the front and white shoes.
"Well damn I didn't expect us to match like this,"
"Yeah, me and August didn't even plan this when we met up. We were like 'I wonder if KC will dress up the same as us and well. Look where we are."

As I hug Piper and August I ask Piper.
"So what's the move."
"The move?"
August says with some confusion.
"The move meaning what's the plan. Basically why are we here?"
"Right ok so you August and I are about to go on the London eye for a few tunes and go see somes ravens."
"Oh cool"
"But not just any old ravens babes."
August says in a thick Astrallian accent.
"Were gonna go to the tower of london."
"Oh ok that makes more sense."
The tower of london is famous for its ravens. Theres an old saying that states.

If the ravens leave the Tower, the kingdom will fall...

Honestly though. Kinda like it. I mean the ravens have been there for years and years and years so I mean hey... Its not wrong. London is here. The UK is still here. And the ravens most important. Are still here. Which makes me here. With all of these people I Have started to love so much. So... I guess I should thank them.

After riding the London eye. We hope off and start walking to the tower of london.
"So KC whow was it?" August says.
"It was alright not to bad. I do need to send these pictures to my mom though later."
"Well thats good. Ok now The london tower."

After walking and talking about random things for a little bit we get to another bridge and start to cross it. As were walking Piper asks me a question.
"So KC whats bridge is this?"
"London bridge."
They both look at me and right as they are about to laugh I say.
"Guys im not dumb its tower bridge I was just kidding."
What you think is London bridge isnt it. London bridge is just some boring old bridge over a few lengths away from where I am. Tower bridge. Which is the one that your thinking of. Ya know, the one that has the pillars and is the bridge in every hollywood movie. Yeah that one.
"Well I stand corrected then. You do know your london geography."
"Yeah Im probably the only american who does but I know my shit."
We all start to laugh as we cross the rest of the bridge.

When we finish crossing, and getting passed all security at the front of the gate. We're in. The first thing I noticed was the structure that's well... the tower. And ya know, With it being over 900 years old and surviving both world wars. It's in great shape.
"Here it is. Isn't it marvelous KC."
"Damn... I just... damn."
I am stunned. I do a whole 360 look around and i'm just blown away at this place. All of the history here is just insane. I think the sad part about this place is that it's now just a tourist spot. Weird how times change like that.

After we find some food we sit down on a bench and talk for a while. As i'm about to drink well my drink. Piper says.
"So... you and theo huh. That would be cute."
I then choke on my drink and start coughing.
"I'm sorry , what now?"
"Oh come on KC. I see how he looked at you in the halls this week. Everytime he passed us he always looked at you and then turned his head to see you again."
"Huh... how do you know?
"I used my phone and acted like I was taking a picture of myself."
"Oh. Ok that makes sense."

If that is not the weirdest shit i've ever heard then I don't know anything anymore. Well, it's a good tactic but my mind went to August told her but hey if that ain't right then it ain't right.
"I have some of the photos," Piper says as she shows me some of the pictures.
"Shit... I definitely wasn't expecting this."
August laughs and says
"Oh please you should see half the stuff that happened at my old school in Sydney."
"What happened?" I asked.
"Well, There was this boy who got outed and he basically had to fight every kid to just earn respect."
"Damn... I would never want to give that pressure or anything to anyone."
August says quietly. "Yeah It would suck."
Piper tries to lighten the mood and tells us she'll be back in a minute cause there's a guy selling cotton candy. Or in this case candy floss. I look at August and look down at the ground."

"I'm sorry that happened to you August. No one should ever go through that."
"How did you know that I was talking about me?"
"Your tone of voice changed. Also while talking you gazed off like one of those romantic dramas."
August starts to laugh.
"Yeah I guess. But dont worry, it's all good now."
"Ok. If I may, do you know who outed you?"
Just then Piper comes back with three bags of cotton candy. Two white bags and one white. To match our aesthetic of course.
"He was outed by the guy he was doing things with."
"Doing things?" I say with some kickback. In my voice.
"Not like that. We just kissed once in a while and cuddled at his place."
"Oh. So how did everything happen."
August takes a deep breath, looks down and back up like he's in the romantic drama again. The look on his face looks like he needs to say it to fully get it over with. But I dont rush him and I just have him take his time.

"We kept arguing and one day at school he just started calling me gay and saying that I was gay and telling everyone that I had a crush on him."
"Did you deny it." I say with an optimistic tone in my voice.
"I tried but the problem is that we recorded our voices when we talked and he had all of them and deleted his."
"Oh my god. Im so sorry."
"Dont be KC. Like I said its all good now. Plus I never had to really come out by myself And someone did it for me."
"I guess but it still sucks ya know."
"Yeah I definitly know."
"So... What happened to the guy?"
August starts to laugh and again like he got revenge on the man.
"Well after awhile of not talking, he tried texting me over and over again and tried to get back together with me again. After ignoring him he came out as gay and apologized so that he can get back together with me."
"And?"
"Yeah I said no. And then he hated that and then switched schools to be closeted again."
"Well damn. Aint that something."
"Yeah well he got what he fucking deserved."

After he said that we started laughing. The sad thing is that all I could think about was Theo. What if he isnt straight? Why am I thinking to much about him? Why do I like him. Oh my god... I... I like him.
