I get down to the basement and it seems like everyone is heading to their usual spots. Ryleigh and Michael are on the love seat, ironic.

I remember when they first started dating, it was the summer before their 8th grade year, looking back on it now they really only acted like best friends who occasionally held hands and they kissed like once. I remember it was at one of the middle school dances and Ryleigh came back and immediately went into my room. "He kissed me!" She whisper yelled so our parents wouldn't hear. "Is that a bad thing?" I asked. "No but it was weird and different but I think I liked it I don't know." Once they got to high school though they were like a normal couple being cute and making everyone feel bad about being single.

Michael is typically nice to me when it's just him at our house, he knows how much I like music so every so often he'd let me borrow one of his CDs and they were always awesome. I can tell that he and Ryleigh are trying so hard not to be all cuddly and couplely, instead he just swung his legs over Ryleigh's lap. Calum was in the lounge chair on the wall opposite of the tv and he put his feet up on the arm rest of the love seat which was adjacent to the big brown lazy boy and he and Michael started kicking each other for a bit.

Calum is really weird and always joking around with everyone. It was a rare occasion, like today, when he didn't bring his soccer ball over. "Hey think fast!" He'd say and chuck the ball at my head, most of the time I'd dodge or catch it but I'm not perfect. Then next to the lounge chair was the love seat's matching couch where Luke and Ashton are sitting. Luke was giant dork, he'd try to act cool but it didn't really work. He stayed quiet a lot but even though they all give Luke shit I'm pretty sure they secretly love him.

Then there's Ashton. When I first met Ashton, a long with the rest of the band, I was in 7th or 8th grade and I might have had a crush on him, but he was in high school and wouldn't see me as anything but Ryleigh's little sister so I snapped myself out of it, but every once and a while he'll do something that kinda brings it back and I have to keep saying no to myself.

"Carter, why don't you sit here?" Ashton said scooting closer to Luke and patted the seat on the couch. Dammit. It's that stupid smile that keeps getting me. I sit down and Ashton rests his arms on the top of the couch, he is practically putting his arm around me, I mean technically he's practically putting his arm around Luke as well but Ashton is practically putting his arm around me!
