Sonic's Dark Past

Part 5: Corrupt Feelings...

Sonic Pov:

   I wake up to me being in a huge room that just has red, pixelated walls. This looks just like the cyber-energy I've been taking in. How did I even get here? Whatever, all I know is that I need to get out of here. I try to look for a way on how to get out of here, but I can't find a platform, nor any form of transportation or enemies. I keep on looking, but I can't find anything. When it seems like all hope is lost, I notice that there is a crack in one of the walls. That means it must be unstable. I try to Spin Dash and Homing Attack the wall, but to no avail. I then realize something. Maybe I can break the wall using the Cross Slash I obtained from Tails' energy. Luckily, the wall breaks and I proceed to what seems like another room.

   I head to a new area in which all I see is a huge enemy in my way. I notice that it has a weak point on the top of its head. I run up the big guy to try and hit that point, but I get stopped by him knocking me back to the ground. Luckily, I regain my bearings and don't get hurt at all. I was lucky to survive that at all. I don't know what to do to beat up this guy. I try the Cross Slash, Loop Kick, Homing Attack, everything, But nothing works. Wait a minute... Knuckles gave me the Cyclone Kick because of the energy! I run up the enemy and bash the big bad boss by using the Kick and screwing his head off of its sockets. I notice that he left behind a key. I pick up the key and find a door in the wall. I go through the door and to another room. Ugh.

   This room doesn't seem to have any issues, until two Ninja Robots fall out of the sky! I get in defense stance and start dodging. The problem is, every time I try to attack the thing, it takes no damage whatsoever. This all seems completely hopeless, until I see that one of the Ninjas ran into its friend, which took a chip off of both of their armor. I think of how I can make them crash into each other AND have enough velocity, and then it hits me. I can parry and use the Grand Slam attack that Amy's energy gave me! Whenever one of the Ninjas ran at me, I parried, kicked it right in the head, and knocked it into its friend, making them both explode into pieces of scrap and pixels. Heh, easy. All of the sudden, red and black pixel platforms show up in the form of stairs. I climb the stairs all the way to the top of this labyrinth. Finally I can get out of here.

   When I reach the top, I don't see anything at first. I look around and I seem to be on the top of a huge tower that has a cloudy red sky around it. The more I stay up here, I feel more sluggish and weak. I then hear the same voice that has been talking to me. It says, "Do not give up hero, you still have a purpose to fulfill." Then, I start to see lights flash around me until I wake up with everyone around me, worried about me.

"Sonic, you okay? The hell happened to you?" Knuckles asks.

"I don't know. I was in a weird place and woke up here," I say, slightly confused.

"Your body temperature went up and down while you were in that sleep. I'm happy you're safe," Tails says.

"I was so worried about you!" screamed Amy, holding onto my arm.

"Guys, it's okay, I'm perfectly fine. Now let's go find those last few emeralds! You all have vault keys from those Cyber Space zones, correct?" I ask, not fatigued in any way. They all nod their heads and pull out their vault keys. Combine the fact that we each have 7, that means we have 28 in total! That's enough to get the emeralds! "Alright gang, let's go get those emeralds!" I say excited. Everyone nods their head in agreement and we head off to get them.
