Such A Dude

It's been harder than I thought to get away. Lately Bane hasn't let me leave his sight. The bomb goes off tomorrow and I need to stop it. I don't plan on dying from the hands of a madman. I'm about to leave to find Fox when Barsad calls me from behind.

"Hailey we've spotted Commissioner Gordon."

"Alright I'll go get dressed."

"No we have enough men for this one and Bane wants to see you besides we have enough men to keep you here."

"Well then why did I have to come all those other times?" I cross my arms.

"Because I liked having you along." He walks to me and smirks.

"You're such a dude." I shake my head.

"Yes I am."

"Okay well I'm going to take a nap then because I didn't sleep well last night on account of your snoring." I lie. Not about the snoring part. He's really loud.

"Alright see you later." He gives me a quick kiss and I stand there confused.

"Uh what was that?"

"Don't overthink it. It was innocent." He laughs and starts to leave.

I walk around until I find Bane. He's sitting in a chair tying ropes. He's always doing that.

"What's with the rope?"

"Ah there you are. You are needed now."

"Well it's about time. What do I need to do?"

"There's an officer who has been sending messages to the trapped police force. He is planning to let them escape today. Stop him."

"This is why you've kept me here all these months? To stop one officer?"

"You will have men with you. Now go. We believe he plans to try at night. you'll leave in a few hours."

"Okay I'll be ready." I go back to my stuff and put my suit back on. I continue my drawings. Lately all I've been thinking about is Robin. So I've been drawing the bird a lot and writing his name surrounded by these cool Robin symbol.s I know sounds like a little girl in middle school. It's not like I'm writing Mr and Mrs Blake surrounded by tons of hearts and crap. It's cool looking and kind of edgy. When I finish drawing it and I'm satisfied I put the picture in my pillow case. Just in time for three men to come and take me to job.

"Alright I'm coming." I say getting up. I follow them to a car and we drive towards the bridge. It's kind of close to where they exile the men. We get close to the manhole and I put my glasses down to see where he is. He helps a man out of the manhole and one of men fire. We all walk to him and I stop halfway.

"Lock it up!" One man yells before dropping a grenade down the manhole.

"Hailey come here." I walk closer and Blake sighs.

"I'm sorry." I mouth. One of the men push him and he tumbles down the hill of rubble covering the tunnel. I get down there quickly to make sure he's okay. I here a gun cock.

"Bane says either kill him or we kill both of you."

"He knew who the officer was didn't he?" I ask.

"What do you think?" He presses the gun to my head. "What's it gonna be?" More men appear. Like seven more. Shit.

He hands me a gun and they surround us. "Shoot him." He brings John to his knees with his hands raised.

"Alright." The man backs away with the others and I turn to John. I point the gun at him and he nods.

"I love you." He says quiet enough for only me to hear. I can't help but cry at those words.
