But before I could get out he pulled me back, closed the door and pushed me against the wall.

"Let me- "  he cut me off by kissing me...

He DID NOT just do that!

I raised my knee and hit him where the sun doesn't shine

Then I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my head... I can't recall what it was but that's all I can remember before I blacked out.

JOES POV

I was on my way to the principals office when I heard a familiar voice coming from the janitors closet. I stopped walking and moved closer to hear if it was really her. The girl I've been having a crush on since 2nd grade.

When I listened closer I realized that she wasn't alone in that closet. There was someone else but I couldn't remember who the voice came from.

I was about to walk away, cause I was pretty sure it was private . But then I heard her scream

So I decided it was time to see what the hell was going on.

But when I entered Luke was kissing her , until she raised her knee towards where the sun doesn't shine.

I wanted to finish him off, so I took the closest thing that I could find and threw it at him, but he dodged and it hit her instead.

I did this to her.
How could I let this happen? We were finally getting along!

I watched as she blacked out. Too afraid to get closer. I didn't want to hurt her again.

"look what you've done! You monster!" Luke screamed and took his phone out to call the ambulance.

"I'm sorry" I say, wiping a stray tear that managed to escape.

What just happened? Let me recap real quick:

I got a chosen to represent our school in a spelling bee, went to tell the principal, ended up hearing Chloe scream, went to help her, ended up hurting her and now I'm a monster.

My life is so f**ked up.

I have to go. I have to go anywhere but here.

So I left the school grounds and went home. I can't see her like this. The thought kept coming back, I did this to her..

1 week later

CHLOE POV

"Doctor, d-doctor shes awake!" I hear someone say...

Joe?
Where am I exactly?
And why am I so hungry!?
What's the time? I'm probably late for school...
Why can't I move my head!? There's an itch on my ear!

"Everything will be okay Chloe, the doctors are on their way" Joe says and wipes a tear on his cheek.

Wait did I die?!

"No you didn't die, stupid..." Joe roles his eyes and stares at me

Did I say that out loud?!

"Yes..."

"Stop listening to my thoughts" I demand.

What happened and why am in hospital?

"You got hit on the head with a baseball bat and you've been in coma for about a week now" he reply's to my thoughts, and looks away from me.

Why does he look so guilty? It's not like he did it.

"I did" he says and bites his bottom lip.

"You did what?!" I shout and my head starts hurting . I wince in pain, how hard did he hit me?

"I'm sorry i was trying to protect you and... I ended up hurting you instead."

"Protect me from who?" I ask

"From him" he points at Luke, who's sleeping on a chair in front of me.

Why's he even here?

"But ill explain that to you later. Have you met my brother Jayden?" He asks me and points towards another guy who's been watching us the entire time.

Wait a minute... I remember that guy! The guy that was sitting on my chair.
He's the handsome guy who said he wasn't interested in me!

"Yeah I know him. Hey there chair stealer." I joked

No one laughed ...

"Hey.. do I know you?" Jayden asked.

How can you forget me? I'm unforgettable.

"Never mind" I role my eyes and try to get comfy in my awkward sleeping position.

"Why is he even here?" I ask, still mad that he forgot who I am.

"He's my brother... my step brother"
