When Did It All Go Wrong? (Tord x Fem Reader)

Zombie Pirates

Everyone sat down on the couches to watch Return of the Insane Zombie Pirates from Hell 4. Matt jumped up excitedly to order pizza for dinner and Matilda ran after him wanting to choose what kind. Once the order was placed they ran back to the living room and flopped onto the couch. Tamara, Ell, and Edd sat on one of the couches while Tori, Matt, and Matilda sat on the other. All that was left was a small two-person sofa. I awkwardly plopped down on the sofa and Tord sat next to me. I glanced at him awkwardly and quickly acted interested in the tv when I accidentally made eye contact with him. A light flush coated my cheeks as the embarrassment started to set in. I had just met Tori's brother and I already must look like a creep.

Growls and snarls could be heard from the tv as a zombie sank his teeth into a crying bystander. Tori and Tord smiled watching intently while the others sat back quietly watching. I flinched, the gore startling me. I accidentally bumped into Tord, there wasn't a lot of space between us in the first place. I closed my eyes trying to advert my gaze from the tv. Suddenly, I felt hot breathing on my neck. He leaned in towards my ear speaking quietly. "Are you ok?" I heard a note of concern in his voice. The close contact made my face glow red, I could barely respond back. "U-um yeah it's ok, I'm just not super good with gore." I opened my eyes to him looking at my face intently. He stood up quickly, "I'll be back just a moment." Tord left the room only to return a couple of minutes later with a blanket. He laid it across my lap. "Here y/n, you can cover up with this and use it to cover your face when you get scared." I quietly thanked him. I saw Ell smirk at me from across the room and I gave her a death stare back. I fluffed out the blanket so it would cover my whole body, but it was large so it also covered Tord's lap. I didn't want to mention or try to move it for fear of a terribly awkward situation. I tucked my feet up on the couch and focused on the movie. The doorbell rang a few minutes later and Matt jumped up to grab the pizza. Edd went to the fridge and grabbed a pack of cola. The two set the food and drinks on the living room table with some plates and everyone grabbed what they wanted. I smashed down 3 pieces of pizza having not eaten all day. Washing it all down with a nice cold fizzy cola, I laid back on the couch, absolutely stuffed. The warmth of Tord's body next to me and the sound of the tv made my eyelids droopy. I could barely keep them open...

*Timeskip to the next Morning @ 10 am*

My eyelids fluttered open and I let out a small yawn. I blinked trying to get the drowsiness out of my brain, light flooded into my eyes and I cringed. Once I was awake enough, I realized that I was laying on something warm. I looked up to see Tord's sleeping face. I bit my tongue stifling a yelp. Definitely not well enough because his eyelids slowly blinked open and he looked down at me and made direct eye contact. "Sleep well?" he asked clearly holding back a laugh. I jumped up and scooted to the other side of the couch wide-eyed. My whole face was enveloped in a hot red blush. I tried to collect myself and respond, but I could barely get out two words. "Um- I uh, I'm so s-sorry!" I forced out smacking myself inside because I knew how dumb I must have looked. "It's fine," he said laughing. I hated myself because all I could think about was how attractive his laugh sounded because of his thick accent. "You nodded off while watching the movie and slumped on my lap, I tried to move you but you were dead asleep and I didn't want to wake you," he explained.

Y/N EXC. HAS STOPPED RESPONDING...

"Eh um Y/n?" Tord tapping my shoulder brought me back to reality. "Ah ha wow, I um need to use the bathroom, be back!" I said jumping up and sprinting out of the living room. Thank god that the bathroom was right around the corner. I closed the door and spun the lock. I stared right at myself in the mirror, why was I acting like this? I felt like a little middle school kid getting their first crush. I was normally a mess, but this was next level. I splashed water on my face and wiped the smeared mascara under my e/c eyes. I gave myself a confident smile and corrected my posture. I unlocked the door and walked back out to the kitchen.

Hi hi Lynn here! Sorry for the shorter chapter but I'm trying to stretch this out a bit more 🙃 this is the point in which my old plot (6th grade gremlin ass) for the book ends... but now it's going to get a lot better!! Trust me you did not want to see these last few chapters before the edits... I definitely was um a- fan girl yeah that's what we will go with
