While her brothers and uncles were practising with Ser Criston Cole, who was concentrating more on the Targaryen lads than the Velaryon ones, Saerela was seated next to her grandsire. Left to the side, her brothers were thrashing around with their wooden swords. Ser Criston never paid attention to them up until the Commander of the city watch Ser Harwin Strong strolled through
"It seems the younger boys could do better with a bit of your attention... Ser Criston." Ser Harwin confidently says walking towards the boys. Saerela looks up from her book on her lap at the sound of a familiar voice
"You question my method of instruction, ser?" Ser Criston says raising his eyebrow at the Commander
"Oh, I merely suggest that method be applied to all your pupils." Harwin replies slyly at the knight.
Saera turns to her grand sire and asks "Why must Ser Criston always forget about my brothers?"
Viserys looks down at his granddaughter and chuckles "He doesn't forget about your brother's Saera." He then points his head at the book suggesting that she should carry on reading.
Saera huffs and turns towards her book. She is currently learning High Valyrian so that when the time comes she can command her dragon when she claims one. There had not been many opportunities to claim a dragon. Her mother reassures her that one day if they return to Dragonstone then she could have her pick or when her mothers dragon Syrax brings forth a clutch of eggs.
Saerela looks up from her book again to see her brother and oldest uncle Aegon sparring. She thinks to herself that it isn't a fair match due to the age and size difference but at the same time in time of war size and age will not matter. Ser Criston and Ser Harwin are both shouting commands at the two boys. Her brother is currently losing to their uncle as he pushes him to the ground
"Enough!" Harwin says grabbing at Aegon. Who quickly leaves his grip and turns to the knight
"You dare put hands on me?" Aegon yells panting for breath. Saerela looks at Aegon. She knew of how he can be quite the brat but she had never heard him speak like that before
"Aegon!" Her grandsire leaned forward and shouted before he leaned back coughing a little.
"You forget yourself, Strong. That is the Prince." Searela hears Ser Criston say. She never really liked the knight; he would always look at her with hatred. She had heard rumours about her mother and the knight about how they were close at one point. So she thought that she reminded him of her mother
"This is what you teach, Cole? Cruelty... to the weaker opponent?" Harwin taunts to Ser Criston starting to walk towards him
"Your interest in the princeling's training is quite unusual, Commander. Most men would only have that kind of devotion toward a cousin... or a brother... or a child." Ser Criston says then all of a sudden Searela looks up and that's when all hell broke loose Ser Harwin lunges at Ser Criston and punches his face till Cristons face was all red.
She stands up and rushes towards her brothers and pulls them back. She can see around four kingsguards trying to pull Harwin off of Criston when they successfully pull him off. Criston has a big smile on his face. Searela looks up to where she was moments ago and sees Lyonel Strong looking at his son with a frown.

It had been a couple days since the incident between the two knights. Ser Harwin Strong had left for Harrenhal with his father. He had said goodbye before he left and Saera was suspicious of how he was acting. It was like it was true about what Ser Criston was saying her brother also had the same idea and when Harwin left he had turned to mother and asked if we were bastards she only said that we were targaryens and that was all that mattered.
Saera was sitting in her room when her mother came in. When she had looked to see who it was her mother had a solemn expression
"My sweet there is something that I need to tell you." Her mother said walking towards where Saera was. She sat down on the edge of the bed and held her hands with hers
"While I was in the council meeting, I had to make a proposal. I have decided that you will be wed to Aegon in the next few years."
Searela looks down towards her lap processing all of the information. She had to marry her uncle who was four years older. She looks to her mother and says
"I will do my duty as a woman and marry Aegon" with a sigh she gets up and moves towards her window. She hears her mother get up and stand behind her
"There is also something else my sweet girl. I will be leaving for Dragonstone with your brothers and you will stay here. It wasn't my decision, it was your Grandsires. I want you to come but I think it will be best that you and Aegon spend some Rhine together."
When Searela doesn't respond, her mother gives her a forehead kiss and exits the room. Tears begin to stream down her face as she turns away from the window. She collapses into bed and cries out till her pillows are sodden. She spends the entire night in this position. Praying to the Gods that her mother will change her mind.
