Will Byers sat in the upside downs version of Castle Byers quietly looking at old pictures he drew that appeared in the upside down but he was also listening to the echoing voices of people looking for him. He can hear them but they can't hear him he tried talking to them once it just caught the monster's attention and he had to stay at a different hiding spot. So now he just listens to the people yell and for the monster's roars. He still freaks out when he wakes up here and not his bed but he's learning to adapt to his surroundings.

He knows that he still has a lot to learn like how to walk quieter, how to avoid the vines and Demogorgon, and what he can eat or drink and what he can't. He knows he can't drink the water from the quarry he tried when he first got here threw up so much, he thought he might die. The water he drinks now isn't much better but it's all he's got and he can't drink too much because of how hard it is to find drinkable water and food and it's dangerous with all the Demogorgon around.

He mostly stays in ether his house or Castle Byers so he can hear his mom and brother's voices and he feels safest there but sometimes he stays in Mike's basement.

Now back to Will he sat thinking of how he got here and why he was taken there was nothing special about him just some ordinary kid like everyone else. So why him and not someone else other than how no one would notice him gone other than his three friends and his brother and mother. A twig snapping in the distance with a roar snapped him back to reality looking left to right he saw a tall shadow on his far left a few feet away from him.

Will went into a crouching position getting ready to run as fast as he can to Mike's house not the Byers because there's not enough hiding spots in his if the monster gets in. Watching the Demogorgon, he saw it looking the way to his house taking that as his cue to run. He didn't get far though because he was to focused on watching the Demogorgon, he didn't see the vine slithering its way in front of him trying to trip him. He hit the ground with a yelp catching the Demogorgon's attention.

It looked over at him staring for a second before it started running at him snapping Will back to reality causing him to get up as fast as he can almost tripping again before running again. He wasn't fast enough though the Demogorgon caught him but instead of killing him like he thought it picked him up and started walking into the middle of Hawkins towards the library. Walking through the smashed front doors and down the stairs not even flinching as Will hit it in the back and clawing at it's arms and back. As it got down the stairs Will saw what looked like a nest of vines and more particles in the air then what's outside.

Snapping out of his thoughts Will saw that the Demogorgon was putting him in the wall of the vines he freaked out scratching, clawing, and flailing his arms to try and escape it's grasp.

But like earlier it didn't stop or flinch it continued putting him in with the vines letting them crawl over him as he screamed. One of the vines crawled into his mouth slowly making him pass out his vision going black and sound fading into the background.

5 hours later

Will woke up slowly opening his eyes looking around after a second he finally remembered where he and what happened. Freaking out he realized that there was a vine in his mouth he started thrashing around. He ripped one of his arms out of the wall of vines ripping his other arm out and taking the vine out of his mouth. Taking the biggest breath of air in his life as he slowly stared taking the vines from his legs.

Once his legs were free, he fell to the floor his legs weak and wobbly from being restrained for so long.

After he calmed down and regained his breath, he looked at the damage done to his arms and legs. They were covered in thick red marks from how tight the vines were holding him. Getting up he almost fell again but he caught himself looking around he saw the stairs.

Limping his way up the stairs he got to the main area of the library limping to the smashed doorway.

After he got out, he started running to Mike's house as it was the closest safe place he could reach quickly. What he didn't see or hear as he ran was the two people yelling his name and heading towards the library he just left.
