Chapter 2

This is a shorter chapter because I didn't sleep last night and forgot I had to get up early for Christmas also Merry Christmas to you all love u 😘 hope u enjoy the story!

Joyce's POV

Before Will left the library

I walked through the portal to the Upside Down with Hopper on the way to try and find my baby boy. Looking around at my surroundings seeing all the particles in the air she also noticed just how cold it was making her worry more about her son. "Come on Joyce we need to start looking for your son immediately." Hopper said looking around.

"Right, we need to get my boy out of here now." I said as she nodded towards Hopper. "Let's head to Castle Byers first it's Will's safe space." I said smiling at the happy memories of Castle Byers I shared with Will. Hopper nodded and started walking in the direction of Castle Byers I followed a few steps behind him.

Arriving near Castle Byers Hopper started running towards where Castle Byers I started running after him. Seeing Hopper kneeling next to a pill of broken wood made me confused before I saw a sign that said Castle Byers. Seeing this I gasped covering my mouth with my hand tears gathering in my eyes thinking the worst.

"Calm down Joyce look over there." Hop said pointing at a tree to the right making me look over seeing a shoe being held by a vine on the ground. I run over looking at the shoe I grab it smiling I said "Hop this is his shoe he was heading to town we have to go quickly." Hop walked over nodding I got up and started run to town with Hopper right behind me.

Arriving to the edge of town I scanned the area before yelling "WILL! WILL! WILL!" I looked around seeing a broken door heading towards the building. I realized that it was the library I entered and started my search heading to the left with Hopper going to the right. Not finding anything I went to look for Hopper before seeing him looking at the stairs that lead to the basement. He looked at me before making a follow me motion as he walked down slowly.

Getting to the bottom we saw a nest of vines looking around I got surprised by Hopper putting his hand on her shoulder. "Damn it Hopper don't scare me like that especially in this place." I hissed looking at him but realized that he was pointing at a certain part of the wall of vines. Walking over I noticed that the vines looked like they were fried I went to touch one but as soon as I did a shock of electricity shot through my body.

"What the hell." I said shocked (physically and literally) I looked back at Hopper confused. "We should go." Hopper said looking at me I looked at him and said "But what about my boy!" I shouted at him. "I'm sorry Joyce but you have to know that he could be dead and we don't want to be stuck in here as well." Hopper said with a sad look in his eyes as tears fell from his eyes and to the floor.

Crying I walked over to him saying "Okay." as we walked out of the library and started heading back to the lab. When we went back to the portal, I went home immediately trying to hold it to all in. But as soon as I got home, I ran to Jonathan hugging him and started bailing on his shoulder I just couldn't hold it in anymore.
