Anthena slowly turned around startled by the foreign voice from behind her.
Once she was fully turned, she was met with no one not a single person insight not even the pair she was fighting with not even moments ago was in her sight line.
She was shocked to say the least. She was also terrified and worried I mean who wouldn't be?
Anthena looked around, shaking with fear. She couldn't see, or hear anything in fact now that she focussed a bit more it was just nothing. Absolutely nothing. It was just a deep black void continuing on for who knows how long.
Anthena for a second could say it was a bit calming, relaxing even. And just like that is back to normal the trees, the air the sounds, smells and her friends all where she last saw them.
It freaked her out what had happened? Had she blacked out, spaced out or was it something more?
Once Anthena who is back from her deep state of mind, she realized her friends, well most of her friends, we're trying to get her attention asking many questions such as are you alright, do you need some thing and what happen.
If Anthena were to say, she had no clue what had just occurred to her. She was clueless and it made her feel small not needed. Granted Anthena is amazingly smart for age in a lot about things, she felt like her purpose was to be relied and to know all answers so when she was asked what happened all she could reply with was.
" I don't know"
" you don't know?" Manny asked her clearly concerned.
" I-I don't have a clue" Anthena replied back, looking like she was on the brink of a mental breakdown.
Steve saw this, and took immediate action and hugged her, knowing it would help calm her down and started to reassure her.
" it's ok to not know, it must've been terrifying" Steve said trying to calm her down, but also trying to get some answers from the situation.
" it was" Anthena said, recalling the moment
" it was just a dark black void that looked like it could have gone on for eternity" Anthena continued on to explain still, shaking ever so slightly, which was not disregarded by Steve.
Steve got all the answers he needed and continued on comforting the girl knowing with all that's been going on it must've been just piling up until it decide to let go. Knowing that coming here in the first place, getting scared once, losing Jasmine and now this was too much stuff to carry for one day that her emotional dam broke and it's gonna take quite a while to build back up with the fact that they still gotta continue to look for Jasmine.
" come on I know you're stressed right now but we have to continue looking for Jasmine" Steve gently explain to Anthena not wanting the spark, anything that can trigger her into another breakdown.
" yeah yeah we do sorry guys let's go" Anthena said with a shaky voice still quite a bit shaken up.
Once they collected themselves, they continued down the path of the forest still keeping an eye out for anything strange, considering the recent events. After travelling for about an hour and a half they came across this house. It looked haunted even , nearly all the windows were broken from what they could see. There were vines and moss all over the outer walls and in all it just had a very eerie look to it. Strange sounds would occasionally come from inside, they considered going inside thinking maybe Jasmine ran and hid in there but after a quick discussion they decided to take a look around outside before entering, and just as they were finishing up their look around, they heard a scream from inside the house. Having heard many screams that night they thought to think nothing of it but as they heard another scream their curiosity took advantage of them, and they entered the house.
