Lost Princess

Marinette......

Ladybugs costume appeard, barely holding her injuries together. But it was enough for this fight. This may have not been the last fight but this one would certainly be worth it .

Ladybug sprung forward to where the other hero's stood. "Lucious" her hero like stance took power over his nearly defeated self.

"WHY?" She yelled across the sky "WHY PUNISH ALL OF THESE PEOPLE FOR A MISTAKE MADE YEARS AGO?"

His face scrunched up "you know nothing" he called for his mini moth minions to shutter around the hero's to block their vision. She could see him lifting away with the help of his minions. They're eyes interlocked "I'm surprised you're not dead yet" She attempted to swing her Yo-Yo to knock him off balance but it was caught with the disk air instead

"Dammit we lost him" Rena snapped her fingers

"Ladybug" Carapace quickly stopped "Orr Marinette" his face gaped open from the sudden realization. Her face remained unphadsed and her arms dangled. The sky grew darker by each millisecond that's been passed. First, it was light sprinkles then the pour. The rain made the mission anything but easier. Homes crumbled to the ground as the rubble soaked. Endless screams presumed. They couldn't save everyone. That was a hero's worst nightmare.

Marinette realized she had failed. Not only her friends her kingdom and her people and soon the Nation. Her sulking came to a pause when a familiar whimper engulfed her ears. Slowly her eyes met Cat Noirs as his met hers.

Nothing else mattered in that moment she ran to him, she'd seen what happend. It was Gabriel. It dosent take a genius to connect the dots. He was Adrien, but that that didn't change anything. This wasn't how she wanted to find out this isn't how everything was supposed to go. They know she's the princess of China but also the young super heroine of Paris.

She pulled away from his embraceful hug looking into his eyes. His eyes no longer held the sparkle they were once full of. His cheeks stained a red color and his lips were pulled into a frown.

A loud booming sound echoed the sky.

Thunder

Ladybugs lips parted slightly before Viperion interrupted them

"GUYS WE HAVE TO GO!!"

The team ran through the rainfall dodging Lucious's minions. They stumbled across an abandoned cave about 80 miles away from where they were.

It wasn't too cramped but enough room to fit everyone. The ground was cold stone . They quickly gathered sticks to make a fire and a bolder to cover the entrance. They gathered around the fire warming their theirselves saying their detranformations.

No one spoke a word. The Kiwanis sat quietly next to their holders.

"So- Marinette- you're" he stopped hoping she would catch onto what he was implying

"yeah" She sighed. No matter the circumstances she was a child, they were all still kids. No kid she have this much pressure on them. How did they expect a 16 year old to run a country and not only that be one of the most beloved hero's.

"We should get some sleep" she briefly looked at Adrien before lying down by the fire everyone followed.

Marinette couldn't sleep that night, she sat wide eyes. Feeling Greif, not just for her for Adrian.Gabriel was still his father no matter what and she knew for a fact that Adrien was not his father and he would never be like him. She stole a glance as the fire heated her face.

His eyebrows were furrowed and he looked tense. Very tense. He tossed and turned. She could still hear the thumping of the rain on the cave. She moved closer to the flinching boy. She curled sitting next to him studying his face. She actually hadn't had time to regester that he was Cat Noir, the boy who had been completely head over heals and in love with her. She giggled a little bit at the irony.

She moved a small strand of hair that had fallen down infront of his face. Her hand rubbed his cheek until another bang was heard and she flinched away.

"Again with the thunder??" She thought

Adrien was still peacefully sleeping as well as everyone else. She wondered how no one could hear it. She noticed Adrien was shivering. They didn't have any extra clothes or blankets. She then had an idea. She summoned Tikki and called up her magic charm which thankfully provided blankets. She coved all her friends in the selfless act.

"Marinette?" Tikki squeaked from her side anf Marinette answered with a hum. "what are you going to do?" She shivered finding warmth in  the blanket.

"I don't know, but that's a problem for tomorrow Tikki we need to rest"

The thunder clapped and boomed all night. Marinette eventually found her way to sleep. She'd forgotten that she was still injured from her very first encounter from Lucious. He mentioned something about how sh had to pay for her "parents mistakes" and their most recent showdown he said to her "you know nothing" those words haunted her through sleep.

"Whats the plan?" They stood outside of the dusk cave you could hardly tell if it was day or night all cellular devices were no longer in service.

Alya thought hard ,she had a plan ,this would be risky on her part but action had to be taking immediately, this could no longer be put off, people were going to die.

"Guys" she said "i have to power of illusions and" she trailed off looking arounf at them orange sky "I could create and illusion of one of  the guards and project it onto myself as a cover up" Nino obviously was NOT having that "NO!!" he yelled standing up "you are joy going out there by yourself to risk you life. I'm sorry Alya but as your boyfriend this is not happening" he folded his arms looking around at the faces before Alya fired back

"LISTEN NINO IM DOING THIS WEATHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT,THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT HERE DYING, SOMEONE HAS TO HELP SND IM THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN DO THAT RIGHT NOW" He was taken aback by her sudden response.

He didn't speak another word

"Tonight" Adrien said coldly

Come to thing of it Adrien still regardless of it being a brand new day, barley spoke

Chloe needed to brake the silence ,what other way to do that than discuss the elephant in the room
