Arwen looked around for Stephen, but still didn't see the taller teen. "Guys, where's Stephen?" He asked. The other three teenagers exchanged looks before responding. "He went back into town to go pick up some stuff," Tord answered. Arwen nodded , looking down as he played with his fingers.

The rest of breakfast was filled with awkward silence until the bell rang. "We should hurry" Arwen commented, pulling at his sleeve. They all agreed and made their way to their first period.

Stephen skipped school for the third time this week. Today's class had no problems since the teacher was absent (he was probably in hospital or something) leaving the class free.  Stephen arrived back to school just in time for lunch.

He didn't Rey care what his father would do to him, at this point he was ready for anything his dad had for him. Just as he sat down at a table that was completely empty.

That girl came up to him, the beautiful blonde from yesterday.  "Can we sit here?" she asked sweetly. Stephen just nodded, she sat down beside him and looked directly in his green eyes. Stephen looked away and fiddled with a ring on his finger and bit his lip nervously. His heart was beating fast.  "What's your name?" She asked. "S-Stephen." He stuttered.

She studied his facial expressions, and the way he fiddled with his hands.  "Well Stephen, my name is Jessica." Her voice sounded nice, it was soft like velvet. He nodded at her and continued to stare at his feet, fidgeting nervously.
Suddenly she noticed his nervousness, he was always a good actor.

"You seem like you're having trouble. Is there something I can do to help?" She asked, leaning slightly closer to him as she watched him squirm under her gaze.  Stephen swallowed hard and shook his head. He was thankful when Arwen showed up, saving him in more ways than one.  "Hey guys! Sorry for running late!" Arwen greeted, placing his backpack in his usual seat.

"Hi." Jessica smiled at the younger man. "Hello." He replied.   "So Stephen... are you okay?" Arwen questioned. Stephen looked confused for a moment, not understanding what the other male meant.

"You've seemed really anxious this morning, did dad give you any trouble?" He snapped up. "Uh no, I'm fine."  Stephen lied.  Arwen glared at his brother and sighed knowing that the conversation was over.
They spent the next couple of minutes in comfortable silence.

The bell rung signaling that lunch break was over.  Jessica stood up. "Thank you for letting me hang out with you, Stephen." She said politely smiling at him. "Yeah, no problem at all." He smiled back.
