NAME PRONOUNCATION: RAY-LEE
I was eighteen when I was abandoned by my family because of my choices. I wanted to be a doctor while the rest of my family wanted to be a lawyer. During my time, I had to take out loans to pay for medical school and work to pay off said loans before I could do anything. It was tough, but I made it through. My four years of college was hell because of the extremity of the bullying I was going through at the time but -- I made it. I was finally a resident here at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. I would love to stay here but sometimes life has other plans.
During my residency here, I made a lot of friends. April being my best friend, Will being the best guy friend I could ask for. I was content with my life at this point. Although, during my second year here, I was kidnapped, raped, defiled, and beaten by a gang in my area. It took weeks to find me. Intelligence didn't have enough evidence to trace me on where I was. I barely escaped and found by CFD when I ran there. They took me to Med and found out how damaged my body really was. Two fractured ribs, hairline fracture femur, broken collar bone, bruising to my vagina and cervix. I also had a preorbital hematoma on my left eye and a slight fracture on my cheek bone. Safe to say, I was off work for six weeks to heal.
After six weeks, I returned to work keeping myself guarded. I was seeking therapy from everything that happened to me with Dr. Charles. I wouldn't have it any other way, but my trust in men was very scarce. I even snapped at Will, Ethan and Connor a few times because of the PTSD I suffered through my ordeal. Thanks to them being persistent, I have opened up my life a little more and enjoyed them being around. Will has made it his mission to make sure I wasn't alone. There, I met Kevin, and he was taking my statements on everything that happened to me. We began to fall for one another, and there - the rest is history. You can imagine on how our lives are going.
