Begin Again

Chapter Two(VegasPete)

Ring~

Macau eyed the ringing phone with disinterest. He had no intrest in answering the call. it was Pete's, not his, so why bother. But since it had been ringing continuously, Macau decided to peek at the contact name to see if it was someone important.

It was the from the food delivery. He picked it up and the guy told him that he was here with the cake and asked him to come out to collect the order. Macau glanced to his right, saw his brother being all mushy with his boyfriend at the bar and decided he would rather go get the cake himself than go to them and listen to them flirting. They were at the Hum bar to celebrate Macau's birthday, but here he was third wheeling the couple instead.

"I can't believe I have to get my birthday cake myself," Macau complained to himself pouting as he walked outside.

He took the cake from the delivery boy and took out his wallet. When he asked the guy about the payment, the guy told him that the payment had already been made.

The cake box had a clear window at the top and Macau peeked in and saw a black cake with a sparkly golden crown on top.

"Khun..." Macau chuckled. He hadn't actually known the older man before because of the Major and Minor family feuds, but after getting to know him he realized the guy was surprisingly good.

In the past six months, the Theerapanyakul family had become a lot closer than they were before, all thanks to the boyfriends of the Major and Minor family heads. Pete and Porsche had come together and conspired many 'evil' plans for this 'good' cause. But it wasn't all that difficult seeing they had almost everyone in the family wrapped around their fingers.

Of course the years long feud between the cousins would have taken a lot of time and hardwork to solve, but after the death of Korn and Gun, some thorough investigation had solved the bigger misunderstandings.

The start was too awkward, the cousins trying to tolerate each other at their family gatherings or dates after Pete and Porsche would 'coincidentally' bump into each other outside. Them being forced to interact or be nice with each other. The family get-togethers, dinners or outings. They were all a nightmare at the beginning but thankfully everything started falling into place as the time passed.

At this point, the whole of Theerapanyakul family could have normal parties and gatherings without the thought of killing each other arising in their minds. They even talked and laughed genuinely with each other, which was huge improvement.

They were slowly getting to know each other and their past prejudices and preconceived notions against each other were fading.

All in all, their relationship was improving and they were gradually opening up and getting close, much to Pete and Porsche's delight.

And since Macau was getting to know his cousins better, besides confirming that Khun was the most fun loving and carefree out of his cousins, he also got to know that once Khun started liking someone it was, simply put, both a good thing as well as a bad thing. He was clingy and over-protective.

Of course Macau preferred the whole family to be together. He genuinely enjoyed their company now and felt valued in their presence. Being surrounded by people who love and care for you genuinely was all he wanted. And he could see the five brothers had started growing on each other, although none would be caught dead admitting it out loud. Except Khun of course.

Pete was about to invite the whole family to gather and celebrate, but Vegas had insisted on keeping it small with just the three celebrating at the bar. A part of Macau felt a little sad about it but he was used to it by now as, since he wasn't the heir to the Minor family, their father didn't bother enough to throw any birthday parties for his younger son.
