Ava

"Then teach me." I said, looking at him. He nodded.
"I'll get Jamal to start you." He said. "I'm not a good teacher. Plus I'm running two businesses." I nodded and sighed.
"So much for a vacation." I laughed a little.
"Now it's an adventure." He said.
"Okay." The following day was the football game, and Italy actually ended up winning 3-1. His dad was so happy, I almost forgot to buy our jerseys on the way out. When we got back to the hotel room, I went to my room, and changed into some jeggings and a tshirt. There was a knock at my door a while later. "Who is it?"
"Jamal, ma'am." I stepped out, smiling at the big burly man. "I heard about the mobster. I'm here to help you train. We'll be going down to the hotel gym." I nodded.
"Kieran?" He looked up from his phone. "Would you like to join us?" He nodded and smiled softly, making me blush. I'll admit, the man gave me butterflies, but with everything else going on, I needed to focus.
"Shall we?" Jamal asked, motioning to the door. Once downstairs in the gym, he wrapped my hands in bandages.
"Jamal, I'm not hurt."
"You will be. Give the bag hell, and in a few minutes I'll correct your form." Kieran was already going at it on another bag, so I nodded and got to work. After a few minutes, Jamal came over. "Don't stop." I was already breaking a sweat. "Left foot back a little more. Yes, right there. Punch in slow mo for a sec. When you punch with that left hand, twist your foot out, yes like that. Now do it in real time."
"Woah." I said.
"A lot more power, yes?" I nodded. "Alright, keep going for a bit. Make sure you keep up that stance." I noticed Kieran was looking at me, and I blushed. A half hour later, I was drenched in sweat, and Jamal finally came over.
"Oh thank god. We're done?"
"Halfway." I whined.
"Jamal, I am a limp noddle."
"Well, you have to be sure that you can get out of grabs at your weakest, otherwise you may not be prepared." He said.
"I don't think I could throw another punch." I said, sitting on the ground.
"Up."
"Jamal, I need a moment."
"Ma'am. Get up. The sooner you get up the sooner we are done. And the sooner you can go to your hotel room." I groaned as I got up. He practically grabbed me right then, pulling my back to his chest, with his arm around my throat.
"Jamal!"
"Fight. Get out of the hold." He said, making me growl. "Be pissed off." I struggled for a minute, before whining. He then coached me through what to do. Kieran was watching as he did some workouts, making me blush. I faltered for a second, and Jamal had me back in the hold. "Distracted." He said. I groaned, and forced my way out, glaring at him as I stood a few feet away. He was smiling. "Very good."
"What the fuck, Jamal?"
"He's putting you in real situations." Kieran said.
"We'll do some more tomorrow." Jamal said. I responded by laying on the ground. Kieran chuckled.
"Come on." He said, holding his hand out to me. I glared at him. He gave me a second, before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.
"Put me down!" I said.
"We'll if you're too tired to walk, I can carry you. Besides, I like the view." I blushed. Jamal was smirking.
"Jamal, can it."
"Ooh, there it is."
"There what is?!"
"The sass." I huffed, and Kieran put me down.
"Come on." We settled down for the night, and the next day, I yawned as I walked out into the living area.
"Good morning." I looked over to him shocked by his morning voice. It shook me to my core.
"H-hi." I said softly.
"What do you want for breakfast?" I shrugged.
"I just go down to the lobby and get the continental."
"The what?"
"The breakfast bar?"
"They don't have that here. Room service or out to eat."
"Oh. Well what does room service offer?" He handed me the menu, and I looked through. "Um, I guess French toast is fine."
"You realize this is Italy, right?" I nodded. "Okay."
"If they get upset by the name, call it Italian toast." He chuckled.
"Are you only getting that because it's familiar?"
"I don't want to get breakfast, and not like it."

Kieran

I dialed the number for room service as I watched her sit down on the couch. She curled up with a yawn, playing on her phone. "Salve, servizio in camera." I heard from the other side of the line.
"Salve, questa è di nuovo la stanza nove trentasette. vai avanti e manda su la colazione."
"Si signore. Dieci minuti." I hung up and texted my father. He came over and then we heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and she gasped as the girl walked in with a cart.
"Hello sir, your breakfast." I nodded to her and handed her 100 bucks. She smiled and set both trays down on the coffee table before leaving.
"What on earth?" Ava whispered. There was a knock on the door, which I answered.
"Good morning everyone." I said, smiling at the four people in front of me. "Ava, I have to have a meeting, but you're welcome to stay." She nodded, grabbing some food, before sitting down in one of the armchairs in the living room area. My father came a few minutes later, and the meeting started.
"So, my intel says the Russians are claiming the attack." Nikita said. I nodded.
"Figured as much."
"Why would they come after me?" Ava asked, and they all looked to me.
"She asked the question, not me." I said.
"Like I get that I have ties or whatever, but don't know anything."
"But you do. You know more about the boss than most of the people in this room." Nikita said, her thick Russian accent coming through.
"No I don't."
"You know where he lives. What car he drives. How many cars he drives. What he does for fun. You know a lot more than you think." She said.
"That's what they want?" They all nodded.
"Cut the head off the snake, the body dies." Daiyu said.
"And you were clueless, no offense, so you would have just told them, not understanding what danger you put him in."
"So why, did they not go after you the other day?"
"Because you're smaller, weaker, easier to take. They'd rather take me by surprise." I said. She nodded.
"I mean I guess it makes sense. A little."
"What do you mean?" Luke said, looking just about as confused as everyone else.
"Follow me back to you, figure out where we're staying, hack the hotel database, figure out our room, and a sniper takes you out from a neighboring building while we're swimming." We looked at her. "I watch crime shows."
"Get someone inside the database." I said, looking at the woman across from me.
"Yes sir." Nakita said, getting on the phone.
"Ava, nice thinking." I said softly. She blushed. We talked for another hour or so, before the meeting ended.
