The room was filled with silence. One of those deadly silence that are so uncomfortable I may add. I wasn't so shocked because lets be real I am damn hot. Kidding. I was actually a little surprised and was giving Joseph one of those are-you-serious look.
Jim being the bitch he is, was smirking at me the whole time. Kim Yong had left the game in the middle to dance outside because she was very high on shots. Olivia on other hand still had that cold look on her face.
If looks could kill.
''Alright! Spin the bottle Jimmy,'' Sasha who was sending me an apologetic look, as if she understood how all the attention was making me nervous broke the silence.
Logan mumbled something to Joseph to which he let out a throaty chuckle.
We played for what seemed like an hour until everyone got bored. Olivia was the first one after Kim Yong to leave. Gradually, I left too. I couldn't sit there for more hours, my bum was feeling numb already.
I went in the kitchen to grab soda. The crowd hadn't lessened a bit, instead it grew even more due to which I was feeling a little suffocated.
I opened the fridge and took an apple juice instead.
I couldn't erase Joseph's image from my head. There was something really fascinating about him, a mysterious vibe and those tattoos. One of them caught my attention. It was an anchor perhaps I couldn't get a proper view because of his sleeve, an anchor that had flames emitting out.
I looked at the time on the clock and it read 10.50 pm. Now, don't get me wrong, I am no Cinderella it's just that I wasn't used to arriving late at home except if it's Charlotte's.
Jim and others were still playing, but this time some other stupid game. I made my way inside again and saw Logan, Jim and Joseph laughing at Sasha and Natalie who were answering questions with a shock ball in their hands. Each time one of them took long enough, they had to feel the electric jolt making them jump or scream.
All I could see was how gorgeous Joseph looked when he laughed. He was holding his stomach with his right hand and kept running his left hand through his hair, refraining them from spreading across his face. His cheeks had turned red and his laugh was deep which filled the room.
God this sounds so cliché, It sounds like I am fangirling over him. I should stop.
''We should get going,'' I confronted Jim.
He got up from the rug and nodded still chuckling.
''Stay guys,'' Sasha managed to say between her panic.
''I'd like to but it's getting late.'' I informed her politely. I could feel Joseph's eyes on me but I ignored it.
''She's probably right, '' Jim said as he sobered up. ''Alright I'll see you all bitches soon.''
''Lovely meeting you Daisy Carter!'' I heard Joseph shout as we left the room. These were probably his first words to me.
On way towards the parking area I saw Kim Yong in the garden yelling Chinese proverbs at top of her lungs, making everybody laugh. I wish Kim Yong had been there to make things seem a little awkward, she gave away such a lively vibe.
''So, you met my friends, how were they?''
''They're all nice, specially Sasha and Kim Yong.'' I chuckled remembering Kim Yong's facial expression when she had to do the dare.
''What about Olivia?'' He asked as if he knew she wasn't very friendly.
''She was rather unfriendly.'' Jim went quite for a long time before he spoke again.
''You went really quiet after Joe kissed you.'' Jim smirked as he started the ignition.
''No, not really. I wasn't expecting it.'' I admitted truthfully.
''Joe is an unpredictable man.''
