A/N: Surprise! I lied, I actually am here. Christmas Eve was boring so I found time to write. I hope you guys all have a lovely holiday. ❄️🫶
CW: brief sexual harassment, slightly suggestive ( nothing major)

Emily had been refreshing her email incessantly for weeks. All of the sudden she reached over, painfully squeezing your arm. She looked as if she wanted to yell but you were on a plane full of other passengers who would not be excited enough about her news to tolerate her cheers. " I got the interview," she whispered in disbelief.

You leaned against her shoulder, squeezing her arm in a silent congratulations. " You could be getting out of here." You mumbled into her ear and she visibly relaxed at the thought. She had connections around the DC area and had been looking for a job at Quantico for the last few weeks.

" We could be getting out of here," she corrected. "But right now I want to enjoy my favorite city with my favorite person." She smiled, nudging your shoulder to get you to look out the window. City lights lit up the ground beneath you as the plane zoomed over it.

"It's beautiful, how many times have you been here?" Your voice was sleepy from the flight and Emily's fingers running through your hair.

" A couple times, mostly when I was a kid. Usually my mother's work trips were boring but there's something about here... I don't know. I could could never be miserable for long." She took your bag from you as you both stood up, shuffling through the aisle.

The crowds gathering in the airport were tight and pushy, filled with grumpy and tired people. Emily's hand gravitated around your waist protectively, guiding you through the airport. She reached up tucking hair behind your ear so she could talk in your ear over the loud buzzing waves of chatter. " There's a car out front to take us to the hotel."

Finally you felt like you could breathe as you stepped outside up to the curb. Emily dropped your bags in the trunk before climbing into the car next to you. Not yet sitting down she fell onto you as the car lurched forward. Finding the opportunity with her mouth close to yours and out of breath, she kissed you.

Noting the driver's quiet grumble she pulled away clearing her throat. With an incredible amount of restraint, she place her hands in her lap, tightly closing them. Midway through the drive her hand drifted over, drawing circles on your upper thigh. You zoned out watching buildings zoom by until the car smoothly stopped outside the hotel Emily had booked.

The second you were safely inside your room, Emily collapsed onto the bed with a loud sigh. You laughed, dropping your bags next to the bed. "Comfortable?" You asked playfully.

She opened her arm, tapping the spot next to her. "It'd be better if you were next to me," she sang out softly with a smirk.

You hovered over her, pressing a brief kiss to her lips. " We both know you wouldn't be able to stop at cuddling if I did that, don't we?"

She rolled over on her side with a groan, propping her head up on her helpful. " That's precisely the point." Catching your wrist she pulled you down next to her, flipping you over so she was on top. Your breathing quickened as she drew your hands up above your head with one hand, the other fiddling with the buttons of your shirt. There was a sharp knock at the door and Emily chose not to acknowledge it.

" Em," You tapped her shoulder, only half-heartedly with her lips on your neck. She groaned rolling off you and stomping towards the door dramatically. You felt sorry for whoever was on the other side of that door. She swung it open with a glare. A man seemed startled and struggled to keep his eyes on Emily.
