The unknown princess of Spain (Pablo Gavi)

Part 2

2022:

"Come on Pablo!! Go! Get past him! Yes!! Now score!!! Come on!!! Shoot- WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" Alexandra was sitting in Samantha's living room watching the football (soccer?) World Cup.

Gavi had gotten past all the players on the opposite team, but got shoved in his back so he fell over. And the judge man didn't do much about it either.

It had now been seven years since Alexandra had seen Pablo. He was 18 and, just as she had said, played professional for Barcelona. He was even playing for Spain in the World Cup.

Of course Alexandra doubted that he still remembered her, but she still loved football and definitely still supported Pablo in everything he was doing.

And due to her caring for the boy mixed with her extreme winner instinct, watching his matches was a nightmare for Samantha. There was always screaming from Alexandra, and some complaining about unfair stuff happening to Gavi.

"The heck?! He was pushed to the ground!!! There should at least be a red card!! Nothing?!"

"Lex calm down. There's nothing you can do about it." Samantha tried to calm her bestie who just huffed and crossed her arms. "Besides, we should go to bed."

"Fine..." Alexandra agreed.

The next morning after eating breakfast, the two girls sat on the sofa scrolling through their phones. It was when Samantha came across a special article that things got interesting.

"Uhm Alexandra?" She got her friend's attention.

"What?" Alexandra responded.

"Have you seen this article?" There was clear uncertainty in Samantha's voice.

"No, what article?"

"Uhhh..."

"Samantha... what article? Read it."

Samantha took a deep breath before slowly speaking. "After yesterday's football game, King Felipe went down to the locker rooms... and he... he asked Gavi to sign a shirt for him. Or... uhm... the shirt was actually for Princess Leonor who recently revealed her... ehhm... huge crush on the young player..."

The shocked expression on Alexandra's face wasn't hard to read, and it took some seconds before she was able to get a sound out of her mouth. "What!?!? My sister has a crush on my ex best friend? As if it wasn't enough to abandon me from the family, never contact me, and erase me from her life! Now she has a crush on Pablo? What a bitch!"

The next few weeks went by as slow as ever. The media was going crazy about the new ship of the two teens. Alexandra was still unbelievably mad at her sister, but over time she had realized that there was in fact nothing she could do.

Pablo and his teammate/best friend Pedri was just about to get in the car after a long day of training. They had come home some days ago when Spain lost against Morocco and were out of the World Cup.

Just as Pablo had put his bag in the back of the car he was stopped by his coach. Without saying much he gave the 18 year old boy a letter and walked away.

Confused, Pablo got in the car before opening the letter.

Dear Pablo Gavira
Thanks for the shirt! Leonor loved it. I am writing to you because I want to discuss something with you. This is something that could change your football career for the better, but I want to do it face to face. Therefore I am inviting you to come visit me in the castle tomorrow afternoon.
Hope you are able to come.
