I got to the area where my new co worker was at. He was on his phone, Probably texting by the gestures of his fingers."Umm... Hi?"
The man looked up from his phone and smiled almost instantly.
"Goddamn! I didn't know Vince hired a handsome one. He usually hires Teens." He said brightly, Making me blush at the compliment.
"Uh- thank.. thank you?" I said, Nervously as he put his hand out, I shook his hand. "You're welcome, blondie! By the way, My names Lucas. But just call me Luke, haha."
I felt myself smile as he looked back to his phone. "Alright! Time for your walking around training. Move your legs. Okay! Trainings done."
Seriously? I thought to myself.
"Nah just kidding." He reassured. "That's how to walk training, which you don't need since you're a full grown adult. A cute one, too." He winked, And started walking.
"I- son of a bitch.." I whispered, taken aback by the sudden compliments being thrown at me. I followed him.
"Okay, Kevin. So what you're gonna do patrol the areas, Make sure there's no signs of a potential break in."
"Why would anyone try to break in anyway? It's not like this place has anything of value." I said as he looked at me. "Uh, wrong. Number one, this place has been here for YEARS. There's bound to be people who want to steal a piece of the place. And two, Money. And Free food."
"...I stand corrected."
Luke kept walking. "Oh, and be warned this place has pretty lousy power at night. You never know when the lights are just gonna go KABOOM." he said, and almost as if it was planned, the lights started to dim and flicker.
"...o.m.g." he said in surprise as he turned to me. "Kevin, Don't be scared, but I think I might be jesus. I'm a black Jesus."
I once again felt myself smile, this Time i felt my cheeks get warm. I shook my head. Dammit! This guy is so... Strange. I don't get it!
He turned back around and started walking again. "On another note, now that I've confirmed to that one Christian, racist karen at Walmart yesterday that Jesus is black... You may ask! How do I check other rooms while I'm in one room? Well that's what the handy dandy app is for!" He said, turning back to me and pointing at my phone. "Aka the app we talked about earlier."
I nodded. "The one that has the cameras on it."
Luke nodded too. "Indeed! Now we go to what you do PHYSICALLY if someone does break in!" He said as he walked to the nearest window. "See these? This is easy to break glass."
"I see that." I replied. "Good, You have good vision. Shoulda figured those pretty eyes were good."
Once more, I felt my face heat up. And based on the small grin he formed, my expression showed I was flustered.
"So, If the person who breaks ins intentions is Robbing the place, or if they have violent intentions, you'll have to resort to physical confrontation." He said as he eyed my arms. "Tell me, How strong/or physically able are you from 1-10, 1 being I can't even lift a spoon, And 10 being I'm a woman named Toshika Nakamura."
I hesitated in answering. "Um, well, i play alot of sports and exercise alot. Done sports since i was 5. Specifically soccer. So i guess... A 7?"
"Nice! Hot and sporty. You're a real catch."
My face was red once more. "I- S-shut up..."
Luke laughed at my reaction to his advances. "Haha, You're cute."
"I-I'm not... Im not cute, idiot!" I protested.
My protests didn't work, as Luke just giggled and started walking once more.
"Now, this about wraps it up for tonight! Its almost 6 AM already! Time flies when you're having fun, huh?"
"If you say so..." I said, My face still hot. "So, Kevin... If you don't mind, Stay a little longer, huh? I'm here all day. And night. I practically live here."
"Are... You a day guard here too?" I asked as he nodded. "Yup, indeed i am. Anyway have a good night/morning, man! I'm gonna go sleep in my desk chair now."
"Hey, wait!" He started to walk away before i stopped him, he turned back to me. "Hm?"
I hesitated, My face going red again. "It uh... Was nice meeting you Luke."
He smiled, a hint of red on his face.
"You too, chica."
