Chapter 1 (Revised)

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Sunod-sunud na umalingaw-ngaw ang malakas na putok ng baril sa isang pribadong indoor shooting range habang pinupuntirya ni Ken ang target object na nakapaskil, ilang metro ang layo mula sa kanya.

Ilang minuto ang nagtagal bago tumahimik ang paligid. Inalis ni Ken ang gamit niyang noise-cancelling earmuffs at pinunasan ang pawis na namuo sa kanyang noo.

"Damn! How the hell are you getting so good in such a fast pace?" Ken unbelievably said as he walk towards the next shooting booth, where his cousin is currently occupying.

"Heh, I may have a talent for this." Amber replied with a smug face as she look towards his cousin.

"Tch. It's just a beginner's luck!" Reklamo ni Ken. He was the one who introduced this hobby to her. He let her practiced for a couple of weeks before he decided to have a shooting competition with her. But it upsets him that he lost to her, when he's been doing this for quite a long time.

"I should've tried this sooner." Ika nito. "I won so it's your treat, right?" She said grinning widely to Ken.

He grumbled.

"Damnit! Fine, where do you want to eat?"

"How about we try the new opened restaurant nearby? It's 35 mins away from here." Sagot niya habang naglalakad sila paalis mula sa shooting range.

"Hm? Oh, I know that one. My friend's family is the owner of it. Let's go!"

The two of them drove towards the location and it took them a whole hour to get there because of the sudden traffic. There's been a motorcycle accident on their way and it blocked the part of the road.

"Ah finally!" She uttered in relief ng makapag-park sila ng sasakyan.

Agad silang pumasok sa loob ng restaurant at sinalubong sila ng isang waiter at dinala sila sa kanilang mesa.

"This place is nice."

"Right? It's aesthetically pleasing." Sagot ni Amber. Habang luminga-linga sa paligid.

The restaurant has a mystical garden themed to it, the plants and flowers were arranged beautiful along with other ornaments. The tables and chairs are made of wood, even the floors were made to look like one and the menu is really interesting because of the fantasy like names of the dishes.

"I might probably come here frequently to eat. Actually, this place is a good venue for a photo shoot."

"I heard you got another offer for to be a model for a magazine?"

"Yep! They're still finalizing the contract and scheduling a date for a shoot. I'm actually excited because the theme is fantasy." Nakangiting sagot ni Amber.

Ken nodded at the sight of his excited cousin. Amber is a famous model who's formerly based in London before moving here in the Philippines a year ago. A lot of famous magazines and brand wanted to hire her because of her androgynous look. Amber is no doubt beautiful, but she can be as handsome as a man and steal your woman.

"Anyway, kumusta kayo ni Eric? I haven't heard-"

"Excuse me, ma'am, sir. Here's your order please enjoy." The server politely said as she placed their orders carefully on the table, before leaving."

"Yes, thank you." Wika ni Ken saka tumikhim. "As I was saying, ehem, I haven't heard much about him this days. Since, halos palagi kayong magkasama."

Napansin niyang bahagyang natigilan si Amber dahil sa sinabi niya. She drink her dark raspberry mint juice to clear herself before speaking.

"I don't wanna hear that bastard's name for a while." Maasim na wika nito habang salubong ang kanyang kilay.
