Neverland (OUAT, Peter Pan fan - fic)

Chapter 5

Autumn POV

"How about a song from our new lost girl?"

I froze.

"Uh...im... I dont... I can't sing... I don't sing." I stuttered.

"Oh, I don't believe that for a second." Pan replied smirking his gorgeous smirk.

"Go on Autumn." Felix piped up.

There was no way I was getting out of this. I haven't sung in years, or not since I left Scotland. I only sang to the little girls who couldn't sleep at night and I didn't think I ever would again.

"Um... Do you have a guitar?" I asked hesitantly as all the lost boys began to hoot and cheer.

Pan pulled out a guitar and handed it to me. I strummed down once and the sound was magical.

Okay here I go...

I began strumming  the chords and everything flowed bag, an orchestra filled my head and I could even hear bagpipes, I opened my mouth to sing all of my fears left as I remember how much I loved to do this!

And the sky is clear and bright

As I prepared for the next verse I heard a pipe, and looked up to see Peter filling in the instrumental. We both smirked and I sung out once again. But this time I didn't sing for them, I sang for me.

Where dark woods hide secrets
And mountains are fierce and bold
Deep waters hold reflections
Of times lost long ago

I will hear their every story
Take hold of my own dream
Be as strong as the seas are stormy
And proud as an eagle's scream

I strummed out the last chords and took a deap breath.

"Welcome to Neverland..." Said Pan before all the lost boys erupted into shout and burst from where they were sitting to congratulate me. They each introduced themselves and to be honest for the first time I really felt included.

Soon they all went back to dancing around the fire, clacking their sticks and chanting. And I enjoyed what had turned out to be an okay party.

I looked at the ground and then across the fire to Pan. Our Eyes caught one anothers and I couldn't help but blush, and I think he did too...

He looked at the floor to hide it, and so did I. But we both looked back at each other and he gestured for me to come over.

I got up grabbing my bow and arrows and headed towards pan. Felix nodded as I walked past and I smiled at him. He's really not as bad as I thought. He kept me company for a little bit while I was making my weapons. Told me about the island, but I'm sure Pan would have told it better...

"Hey..." I said looking at the floor again, because I didn't want him to see my checks matching my hair.

"Hi," He replied, before lifting my chin up so we were looking in each other's eyes once more. For some strange unknown reason the butterfly's in my stomach erupted and I seriously though I was going to hurl. Thankfully I contained it. I don't know why but I finally felt like I belonged somewhere, like never land could be a new home for me and one that I could finally stay at forever. And I mean forever, because you know, time doesn't move on neverland.

"What are you thinking about?" Asked Pan looking at me intently.

"I'm thinking we should get get out of here..." I said quietly. " What do you think?"

"I think that's a great idea. Let's go." He said smirking. He grasped my hand tightly and off into the forest we went!

I grabbed her hand and we ran into the forest. I knew exactly where I wanted to take her. I had planned to take her to see the pixie dust tree and meet Tinkerbell, but Tink's in a mood with me so another time. And the pixie dust tree really isn't what it used to be, it's dying so that will have to wait too.

No I planned to take her to a secret lagoon right at the heart of Neverland that only myself and Felix know about. The water is sacred water according to the Indians but I run this island so we can go for a swim if we feel like it.

I slowed down to a walk so that Autumn could catch her breath. I think I might have tired her out...

"Where .... are we going.... speedy Gonzala???" She said between breaths.

I laughed. After almost 300 years on Neverland with just boys I s good to have a girl here. Maybe she's a good cook?

"I'm taking you to the heart of the island." I answered, being rather blunt with my answer.

"Ooohhhh fancy!!" She said dramatically.

We walked a little bit more, just chatting, she told me about Scotland and explained to me what haggis is, and I learned that she is indeed a good cook, meaning she has agreed to cook dinner at least once a week.

Whilst we were walking she kept having to push her long curly hair put her face. It must have been distracting her.

"here you go." I said to her, before magicing a hair tie for her.

Her face lit up, "You read my mind, thank you!"

She took the hair tie and began to braid her hair so that it was out of her face (A/N : a French braid). I wasn't even going to ask what she was doing, it looked far to complicated...

"We're almost there, it's just up here, close you eyes." I said, stepping behind her and putting my hands over her eyes so that she definitely couldn't see.

"She giggled as we walked forward, round a little bend and then into a the cave hidden by lots of vines. I defected her forward until we were right inside the cave with the lagoon inside. I really hope she likes it...

"Are you ready?" I asked. I felt her nodding. "Okay, three, two, one."

I dropped my hands from her face and she opened her eyes.

"Oh. My. God..."

Long time no post... I'm sorry I'm going to try and post on here more regularly. I was reading through all of your comments and they are amazing. Thanks so much.

I need to go write a new chapter now. But here you go, enjoy this❤️
