Pansy Parkinson is lying in her swimsuit on the back patio of her parents' France estate. As soon as the battle was over the Parkinson's fled to France to try and avoid any possible punishment. Although Pansy's father was not a marked Death Eater he had always supported the Dark Lord's views. It has now been four years since they had left England and Pansy was beginning to believe they would never return home.
"Pansy," a voice calls.
Pansy internally groans hearing her mother Amaryllis Parkinson calling for her.
"Pansy," her mother calls again.
"Yes? Mother, I'm on the patio!" Pansy yells back.
After a few moments Amaryllis appears dressed formally and walks towards her daughter.
"It is improper for a young lady such as yourself to be yelling," her mother chastises.
"Yes, mother, I'm sorry," Pansy replies, standing up to meet her mother.
"What are you wearing?" Amaryllis asks Pansy in disgust after eyeing her daughters attire,
Pansy looks down at her outfit before replying, "a swimsuit I thought it was a nice day to sunbathe."
Amaryllis scoffs before saying, "we have a lot more work than I thought."
"Mother, what are you talking about?" Pansy questions her mother.
"Your father and I have decided it is time for you to be married. We believe it has been enough time and from the information we have gathered England seems to be settling. We are planning on moving back to England by the end of this month. Your father and I have been trying to find a suitable match for you," her mother explains.
"Who? Please tell me it's not Goyle or Zabini," Pansy says to her mother.
Amaryllis releases a slight chuckle, "heavens no. Your father is currently meeting with Lucius Malfoy."
Upon hearing the name Malfoy, Pansy nearly jumps. Pansy had always hoped to one day be Mrs. Malfoy. However, all those dreams seemed to fade away with the war.
Pansy had heard from her parents that none of the Malfoy's were sent to Askaban. Narcissa was not a surprise considering she was not technically a Death Eater. As for Draco, due to him being a minor and under duress the Wizengamot decided that he was able to go free. The surprise however, was Lucius Malfoy. Lucius was a Death Eater who committed many crimes. According to Pansy parents Lucius was able to convince the Wizengamot that he had no choice in his actions. It also helped that he gave a significant amount of money for relief efforts after the war.
If what her mother is saying is true, then the dream of her being Mrs. Malfoy might still be a possibility. With that thought in mind Pansy stands up straighter, determined to go back to the proper pureblood princess her parents had raised her to be.
"When will father return," Pansy asks her mother.
Her mother smiled seeing the immediate change in her daughter's attitude. "He will be home for dinner. Why don't you go get dressed, and meet us in the dining room in two hours."
"Yes, mother," Pansy replies respectfully before walking to her room to get ready for dinner.

Two hours later found the whole Parkinson family at the dining table. Her father, Percival, sat at the head of the table with her mother to his left. On his right sat Pansy and her younger siblings, Poppy and Petros.
"Well children, we have some announcements to make," Her father says and all attention turns to him. "We have decided to return back to England at the end of this month." At this Poppy and Petros exchange ecstatic looks. "The other news is that I have spoken with Lucius Malfoy this afternoon, and he has agreed to a betrothal between Pansy and Draco."
