Cloud Nine

Chapter 1

Adrianna pov

"Soooo, are you ready?" Emma said and I nodded in agreement. We got out of the car and walk into the huge building in front of us, and there's so many people inside wearing their fancy dress, expensive accessories, branded bag, thick makeup, the list goes on.

I walk inside and greet by the security, his lips turned into a smile that caused a smile into my lips. The sounds of clicking heels and people chat echoed the building, the walls filled with amazing paintings from a different city, a different meaning from an incredible brain, a different theme from a different creativity, and of course a different price from someone who born to make a masterpiece.

"Wow, it's amazing!" Emma said with her eyes look at her surroundings, there's so many amazing paintings here. Even though I'm not really into art but painting in here is amazingly beautiful.

My eyes travelled around the paint that hanging on the wall, it's the first time I go to the painting exhibition and now I know why people love to go to painting exhibition. It feels like you can't take your eyes of them, like the painting begging you to look at them and something inside you, push you to go to the exhibition again and again after this.

"I agree with you" I said and we started to look around, it's kinda hard to walk since I rarely wear high heels, fortunately the dress that I wear maker me easy to walk, my dress is beautiful its a black dress, but not sexy cause I don't like wearing something that too short or anything like that, it's not my style.

I look around and see many people look stunned by the painting, it's been an hour and I was too busy to look paint around me until I didn't realize where is Emma, I take a look and there she is, on the phone with someone. I take steps closer and she looks at me while mouthing 'wait'

"What happen?"

"It's my mom, she said something was happening with my brother and she said this is urgent and she needs me there, I'm sorry I think I have to go now" she explained, I was sad she should go but I'm not going to stop her, I understand that she didn't want to leave but she have to.

"It's ok Emma I understand, just go to your brother, he must be really need you now"

"I have to go now, I'm so sorry Adrianna, this is urgent, my mom told me just now. I have already said to her that I can't come, but she's-" I cut Emma before she finishes her sentence, she already said that before and I don't want to make her feel bad.

She is my best friend since the first time we met at University, I know she loves art and she is so exited to be here, and if it's not important I'm sure she's not going home.

"It's ok, I understand you should go your mom is waiting, don't worry about me, I can take a cab or something" I said trying to convince her that I was okay.

"Ok, call me if anything happens ok?" She said while walking and I nodded.

"Ok, bye"

After Emma leave, i go around to see some paintings, and find the one that catch my attention. It was a forest and the sun shines brightly on that picture, 'Preview' written beneath the painting, I don't know why but I like it. Well, at first I just want to come here because my father invited me and my friends ask me to accompany her, so I said yes. But I never thought to fall in love with a painting.

"Beautiful isn't it?" A male voice come behind me making me startled, I gasped and look at my back, then I found someone so attractive, his jawline was sharp, his piercing hazel eyes look at me, his lips that formed into a grin, which I guess is kissable, his brown hair is a little bit messy but he still looks good on it, he even looks sexy instead. I look at him, well checking him out actually, he look at me and he know I checking him out. Damn! I embarrasssed myself, his lips turned into a smirk and I still look at him, Oh my I almost drooling!
