Chapter 3: Him

Taehyung finally went home, he forced his brain to function while he was answering the test. Luckily, Jungkook let him leave after taking the test for 5th time.

"I'm here." Taehyung uttered when he arrived inside their house.

"Hello, how's your tutor?" Jin asked welcoming Taehyung.

"My blood boiling when I'm with him, tsk, there are a lot of people but why him? I hate him." Taehyung muttered.

"That's okay, it's your first day, I'm sure you'll learn with your tutor." Jin replied, ruffling Taehyung's hair.

"Hope so, where's mom? I have to ask something to her." Taehyung inquired.

"She took overtime in her work, she'll go home late." Jin replied walking into the kitchen.

"Oh, I just want to know something." Taehyung mumbled.

"What is it? You can ask me, I might know the answer." Jin smiled.

"You're right, here, do you perhaps know about this and can you tell me who's the other baby in this?" Taehyung asked showing the necklace.

Jin didn't need to take the necklace because he already knew what is it. He swallowed hard while unbelievably looking at the necklace.

"I-I don't know that, I never saw it." Jin stuttered.

"Oh, it's okay. I'll ask mom instead." Taehyung sighed.

"No, don't ask mom. I'm sure she doesn't know about that. You'll waste your time and she doesn't like necklaces." Jin immediately stopped him.

"But I'm just curious, mom was the one who gave me this necklace with an unknown picture of the baby. But this one, I found it but it has my baby picture inside this necklace." Taehyung stated.

"Taehyung, just don't ask her. Mom told me everything, I'm sure she didn't know about that." Jin insisted.

"Okay, I won't ask her. I'll go to my room, I'm sleepy. Good night hyung." Taehyung uttered and started to walk upstairs.

"Wait, may I ask you something?" Jin asked.

Taehyung stopped and looked at him.

"What is it, hyung?" Taehyung responded confused.

"Where did you find that?" Jin asked.

But he was hoping it was not 'him'.

"Ah, this? To Jeon freaking Jungkook." Taehyung giggled.

When Jin heard that name, he felt his world collapse.

"Oh, okay. Good night." Jin muttered.

Taehyung hummed, walking upstairs.

Jungkook sighed when he made Minyoung fall asleep. He closed the door of her room and went near the door to turn it off the door. But suddenly, he heard a knock on the door. He opened it and saw the guy he doesn't want to see.

"What are you doing here?" Jungkook asked, glaring at him.

"You, you shouldn't show to him! Why did you do that, huh?!" Jin yelled.

"What's wrong with that?! I have a right to see him!" Jungkook retorted.

"No! You shouldn't! You should go far away and leave him until he forgets you again. That's what you should do. He doesn't need you, he forgot you. You should move on!" Jin stated, gritting his teeth.

"Move on? Why would I? You're the reason why I'm suffering right now! And now I saw him, you want to take him away!" Jungkook retorted, clenching his fist.

"You don't understand, Jungkook--"

"No! You don't understand how glad I am when I saw him. I've been longing for him, it's been a long year since I see him. You don't know how much it hurts when he didn't recognize and hates me. I tried to forget him, I tried to act as if I don't want him because that's what you want. But I'm tired, I don't know how long I can handle myself." Jungkook explained with tearful eyes.

"Then leave! Leave him alone, Jungkook! He's happy without you, aren't you satisfied with that? You promised me that you'll leave him. But why are you here? You just ruined everything." Jin replied.

"It hurts! It hurts seeing him smiling but I'm not the reason. How long do I need to act? You come here to confront me? He's happy but what about me? I'm a person too, I have a heart too. I can feel the pain, hyung! You took my happiness away!" Jungkook retorted venomously.

"That's why I told you to stay where you come from. You shouldn't chase him! You should know your limits." Jin grumbled.

"Why are you making me do something that I can't do? You are lying to him and about the real him! What will you do if he knows about it, huh? You will stop us again? What else you can do just to separate us? We're not your puppet to control us!" Jungkook yelled in frustration.

"Whatever happened in the past should stay in the past. In the end, you two will hurt each other. If you need to go far away, do it. Don't you ever dare to tell everything to him. You'll regret it, Jungkook." Jin sternly said.

"I regretted it when I didn't fight for him, I don't have anything to regret." Jungkook retorted.

"He doesn't need to know about you, about that mistake little kid. He doesn't need the truth, he will completely forget you, Jungkook. You're nothing for him but his enemy." Jin stated, leaving him alone.

Jungkook's tears fell in his eye, he wants to act brave but how?

Meanwhile, Taehyung was laying on his bed. He was scanning the necklace. He tried to search for where he can buy that kind of necklace but unfortunately, he didn't find any related to the necklace. His friend, Yoongi also told him that it was just made by someone since there is no sign of the artist or design in the necklace.

The necklace was too unique but simple. Yoongi also told him that he was sure that no one sell necklaces like that back then.

"What's this?" Taehyung mumbled to himself when he saw a letter carved into the heart pendant.

"JK...what does that mean?"

He looked to the other side of the pendant and saw letters carved there too.

"TH" Taehyung uttered.

He was getting confused, he need to show this to Yoongi. He might miss some information.
