I walked, with bright moon above and dark earth below and I saw a thousand worlds.
In my eyes and in my mind, a thousand worlds swirled. I saw the rise and fall of great nations, I saw the forming of the greatest friends and the most worthy enemies.
I walked, with bright moon above and dark earth below and the greatest stories curled and twisted around me.
I saw noble houses rise and fall, lovers turning the very world asunder, I saw great heroes breaking the world.
As I walked, with bright moon above and dark earth below, I stared into the void and it showed me many things. I saw the most terrible of beasts, the twisted and the deranged. I saw things far beyond me, with their very touch bringing corruption. I felt I saw the very worst of man, the fear and the hate and the horror.
I saw great heroes rise and fall in their battle against the dark. I felt and I saw the lives of each one and felt I knew there struggles like they were my own.
I walked, with bright moon above and dark earth below and felt I had finally found my place.
Then, I was struck with the greatest of evils. As my words appeared on the paper, they came out twisted. The great nations were corrupted, the great kaleidoscope's colours dulled, the terrible villains became nothing but meagre shadows of themselves. The void's gift, the great villains and terrors of the world fell as soon as I wrote them.
All of this and so much more fell as I wrote them. I saw my comrades write and bring the greatest of colours, the most terrible of beasts and the most wonderous of heroes to light, but as soon as I tried, they became, well, boring.
I walked, with bright moon above and dark earth below and I saw a thousand worlds. And I have failed.
