" answer the door " Rowan pushed Xavier closest to it before he refused
" I think you should open it " he backed up but whoever was behind it

Swung it open , Xavier's eyes widened big " dad " he inhaled sharply as Vincent gave his son a crooked grin
" hello Xavier " he gave rowan a half ass glance " you must be his roommate " he sounded almost disappointed that Xavier was set up with him

" that's me... I'm rowan btw " Rowan reached a hand for him to shake but Vincent didn't, he only pushed himself farther into the dorm " I don't do hand shakes " he snapped his head at rowan than focused on his son

" parent weekend is over dad, remember? " Xavier wasn't happy to see him, his eyebrows sunk into a hateful position " I'm here for more important business " Vincent stopped in his tracks eyeing the drawings on Xavier's side of the wall, one thing his dad never did was like his art , always thought it was a wasteful time to look at, do or talk about. Shitty way to shut down your child's dream.

Vincent inhaled deeply than exhaling
" so how's Bianca? " he grinned down at xavier who crossed his arms not wanting to speak about his former
Girlfriend " we broke up " his voice was almost a whisper knowing his dad would probably shun him saying something along then lines of " but you guys looked good together " or " you really let her go, disappointing " but he just scoffed than put his full attention on his roommate.

" do you have a girlfriend? " Vincent put rowan on the spot, rowan gulped " I.. I Don't " he looked down to the ground fully expecting him to like scream or something " you boys need something in your life " he grabbed them by the necks and smiled " that's why I'm here-- I'll find you guys the prettiest girls you've ever laid eyes on " with that Vincent left the room, slamming the door shut behind him

Xavier let out the air that he held inside him the whole time

" your dad is.... something  "

" I'd say, try having to grow up with him " Xavier smiled Abit, sitting on the edge of his bed than sighing " I really do wonder who these pretty girls will be " they both made eyes contact before rushing out of the door

" Dad! " Xavier called out to him, still rushing to find him " fuck " he sharply turned a corner and noticed his dad chatting with Wednesday, who looked frightened and obviously not in the good way " dad what are you doing? " he jogged over to them " I was just telling her about how your single and looking for a girl- "
" you don't need to do that " Xavier cut him off than glared at Wednesday

" I can't have my son be lonely in high school, it's not a good look for us Thorpes " Vincent grinded his teeth together than Xavier closed his eyes

" dad I don't wanna girlfriend,  I have a boyfriend " he lied, it felt so wrong saying but did feel so good watching his dad crumble " what?"

Xavier's lips twitched into a smile
" yeah, Rowan's my boyfriend to be exact "  Wednesday felt the plan behind his words, and grinned ear to ear, there's nothing she loves more than telling a little white lie

" he's telling the truth, they've been together since the start of the school year , such a terribly happy couple " her grin dropped back into a face palm, his dad looked like he was ready to pass out ' perfect '

Vincent grabbed onto his forehead " I might need to lie down a bit " he stumbled off as Wednesday and Xavier high fived each other

"  Excellent lie Xavier, almost had me fooled there as well "

Xavier huffed, knowing half of that lie was false , well almost all was a lie
Rowan wasn't his boyfriend and probably never Will be but Xavier would like to think he would.

Back with rowan , he was still running around, hoping Xavier's dad didn't walk to any girls  " there he is " he shook his inhaler, huffing it than walking to Vincent " hi um Mr Thorpe " he grabbed his shoulder, Vincent spun around quickly " Rowan, why didn't you just tell me ? "

" tell you what ? " Rowan questions him before Vincent huffed big time " that you and my son were dating, I mean I wouldn't mind if you told me the truth but you guys let me go off and ask random girls to date you guys " he pressed his lips together tightly as rowan tilted his head a bit confused then ever " me and Xavier ain't a - "

" Don't lie to me again , if it wasn't for my son's happiness, you'd be dead " with that Vincent was gone,  rowan huffed his inhaler once again before going back to his dorm

He opened the door, darting eyes at xavier , he hoped the heat from his stare. Rowan finally let out some frustration " Xavier... you told your dad we were dating,  why? " he put a hand on his hips watching the taller boy sulk harder into his mattress

" speak up Xavier now,  I deserve answers " he sounded like a mother angry at her kids for writing on the walls.

" I didn't want my dad to talk to any girls for me , he doesn't understand that I'm not what he thinks I am, I'm a gay male goddammit " Xavier finally got up onto his feet and let things go

" I had to, I really did please rowan go along with it " he grabbed his arms " please "

Rowan sighed and made eye contact " fine , but only until he leave"
