"You flung me because of Valerie??",I hear Hailey shout from the phone.
I'm waiting for Nick to reply but it seems like he is stunned too.
"Nick? Are you still there?", I ask.
"HAILEY!!! For the UMPTEENTH time I'm telling you NOT to compare yourself with Vee. She's special! Don't you get it?!", he shouts back.
I'm seriously surprised. Does he really have feelings for me? I don't even know if this is how normal best friends react when their girl friend talks about their best friend. I don't know what is going on but this isn't the Nick I've known all my life.
I end the call and lay on my bed. My mind traces back to when I and Dia were talking. When she said he was developing feelings for me. Could it be?
No! Don't think too far Valerie. Nick loves Valerie! Nick loves VA... what am I saying 🤦! Nick loves Hailey not me. I mean he loves me but as a friend right? I need to clear my head.
I and the girls already drove back to the house, so I walk out of my room and head downstairs.
"Where are you off to Val?"Bianca asks me from the sofa she's sitting on.
"I just wanna get some new clothes", I reply.
"Girl you're not even done with the ones in your closet ",Norma laughs while coming down from her room.
"I just need to get some breeze", I blurt.
"It's late yunno", Norma says again.

"Did you guys see Hailey's post? I mean she's just so disgusting and I don't know what Nick sees in her. Just take a look at her disgusting shoulder length red hair", Bianca says angrily.
I and Norma dash each other a look then she smiles and says.
"You're right I guess. Val can I come with you to get the clothes?", Norma asks.
"Ugh... sure. Shall we?", I ask.
"I'll just grab my phone and my card to get groceries ",she says while running up to her room.
Moments later we leave and truly this walk was what I needed. I ended up not getting the clothes, rather we just did grocery shopping 🛒 which was fun. I love hanging out with Norma, it's so relieving.
****** The weekend was so freaking fast and eventful. I and Norma went to church while Bianca stays at home, claiming she had cramps.
Monday is here again and I feel like I don't want the day to begin. I'm not ready for any drama yet. Not now. And for the first time in a long time I get on my knees and ask God for the day to be less eventful.
I get up and head into the shower 🚿,then I brush my teeth 🪥 and walk-in to my closet for a classy outfit.
