Valerie's POV

I can't believe he actually said he likes me. Like I never expected it. Which means his mum has been aware of his feelings for me. It's not a surprise actually because she keeps talking of how we should date and all. I'd love to visit her when we're on summer break.

"Hey girl, you look so excited for someone who just found out her friend is dyeing", Norma says to me.

"Oh, well. I can't hide this from you Norma, you're one of my best friends so here it goes", I breath in and smile.

"What? You're keeping me in suspense girl",she smiles back.

"Nick told me he likes me", I whisper while she gasps.

"No fucking way, I'm so happy for you girl. The sparks took a lot of time to fly don't you think?",she asks and I give her a questioning look.

"Well, I noticed you guys like each other a long time ago so it's not new to me",she chews on her fries and gulps down her milkshake.

"So-",

"Hi there",Bia cuts me off as she sits on the table with I and Norma.

"Hey Bia, what's up?",Norma asks her.

"Not much, where's Nick",she asks rubbing her neck.

"He said he wouldn't be joining us", I reply because I met Nick at the door.

"That's weird because he accepted to date me",she says and I glance at Norma who is trying to act cool.

"Oh that's awesome, uhmm I gotta get to class", I grab my book and get up

"The bell hasn't been wrung yet Val",the way my name rolls out of her mouth and the way she looks at me makes me feel like she's mocking me or something.

"Well, I've got some practice to do on my writing. I have to get to class before the other students so I can show Mr Hamilton my work", I simply reply, walking towards the door.

"Wasn't that strange?",I hear Bianca say on my way out.

"Nope, I also have to head to class,see ya", I also hear Norma say.

This day had better not get worse. I'm not actually showing Mr Hamilton anything and he's not even in class when I get there. The class is empty so I just take my seat at the back close to a window and start looking at the ballers.

Nick's POV

"Gimme a sec man, I need to fix something I'll be back",I scurry out of my guys group and I can hear them say "take your time bro". I saw Vee go into her class and she looked moody so I've gotta talk to her.

Luckily no one is inside the class so I get in gently and draw down the blinds of the door before locking it so no one will disturb us. She's looking outside the window so she hasn't seen me yet, I take a moment to admire her and she looks so breathe taking.

I walk closer to her until I'm standing right in front of her.

"Goodness Nick",she tries to catch her breathe while I laugh out.

"You always frighten me",she adds a bit calmer.

"Sorry about that Vee", I smile, relaxing myself on her desk so our faces are inches away and she can't hide the blush that appears on her cheeks.

"What is it?", she frowns a bit.

"You're beautiful that's what", I smile watching her smile back.

"You weren't looking happy earlier so I had to follow you up, what's wrong?", I ask a bit worried checking her temperature.

"Oh it's uhmm... nothing. I just have some you know..ha..story to finish up and I thought -", I shush her up because I know when Vee is lying and that's what she's doing now.

"Talk to me", I tell her.

"It's nothing really,trust me and can you stop touching my face?",she says but I don't believe her.

"Tell me what's wrong. Is it because I accepted Bia?",he asks.

"What? No. No way. How could you think that",she pretends to focus on her desk.

"I-",the bell rings.

"You have to leave before Mr Hamilton comes in Nick, I'm fine okay?",she assures me.

"Saved by the bell huh? Okay, I'll take you for your word, bye Hun", I say leaving a little kiss on her cheek.

I walk out proud knowing I did a good job in there.

Valerie's POV

"Okay class turn to page 95, I guess we skipped that page before..uhmm.... Valerie? Help us read the whole chapter in page 95 okay?",Mr Hamilton addresses the class.

Why does it have to be me damn it.

"Okay", I fake a smile and struggle to get to the page.

"Here have mine, I'll open yours ", Johan, the guy beside me says, I smile and collect his before he takes mine from the desk.

"Chapter 9, page 95, I read, When..", I start.

Writer's class today was so exhausting, immediately after the class I rush out and just when I'm about to go further, I remember I have to switch books back with Johan. I turn around and immediately bump into him.

"Shit, I'm so sorry, I wasn't focused",he says.

"No it's fine. I was on my way to you so you just did me a favor ", I tuck my hair behind my ear and pull out his book then I hand it over to him.

"Thanks ", I smile and grab mine but he stops me before I leave.

"Maybe I could make it up to you for bumping into you by having dinner together tomorrow evening?",he says.

Johan is a really sweet guy and he's also cute but sorry to say I have my heart elsewhere.

"It's fine Johan, you don't have to worry about it ", I tell him calmly so he won't think I'm being rude or anything.

"Please, let me make it up to you Vee",he says while I look around hoping Nick isn't anywhere around.

"Okay then", I nod.

"Yes, tomorrow by 6 I'll pick you up. Is that okay by you?",he asks.

"Sure", I smile before walking away.

Hopefully I can get my mind off of Bia and Nick's case tomorrow evening.
